Hi, I’m Cassie—a British jazz saxophonist, award-winning composer, and Trinity Laban Conservatoire graduate, now based in Berlin. I’m currently looking for a couple of private saxophone and/or composition students who are keen to develop their skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Saxophone Lessons: With a strong background in Jazz and improvised music, I offer saxophone lessons tailored to each student’s needs—whether you’re preparing for ABRSM or Royal College exams (or other equivalent examination boards), exploring jazz improvisation, or just playing for fun. Hi, I am Thore. I’m a German Bachelors degree flute student at the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen. During my studies here I could and still can gather a lot of knowledge about methodology and pedagogy and could already make a few teaching experiences. For me teaching means learning from each other. Thus the student of course gets insight to my knowledge about music and instrumental technique but I will also learn a lot from the student about the individual factors of flute playing and music making in general. In my lessons I focus a lot on breathing and posture because for me these two are the most influential factors to healthy and beautiful playing. I am also open to incorporating the students musical interests e.g. Disney- and Pop-songs. Lessons can be conducted in Dutch, English and German.

With my bachelor's and master's degrees as well as my bachelor's degree in musical education from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and years of experience playing the flute, I am well prepared to pass on my passion for music to anyone who wants to learn to play the flute. I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

I offer 1-to-1 tuition for piano, saxophone and music theory. Experienced tutor teaching all ages, from young children to adults. You can learn classical, pop, jazz, or theatrical genres. We can work towards grades and exams with ABRSM. I am an Associate of the Royal Schools of Music.
