My name is Sabrina and I am Italian. Italian is my mother tongue, but I also speak French and English. I have a law degree and I work in this field. However, I have a perfect command of everything related to teaching (which covers different subjects), having had regular experiences in this regard over time. Indeed, I like to put my knowledge and skills to use for those who may need it. In this course, you will learn a range of linguistic methods and learn the terms used for describing a specific aspect of language or phenomenon (lexis, morphemes, and 'telegraphic stage' to give a few examples). The course requires you to explore your own data using quantitative and qualitative analysis (eg: how frequently are slang phrases used? Are there new auxiliaries being created?). No historical linguistics or literature is involved, but language change or specific traits will be sampled via your own data collection (if this is what is demanded in your course).
