    About Me

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
    1) Since when do you develop an interest in your discipline and for private lessons?

It's been 7 years since I teach different students. I started while I was in 5th humanity to help students with difficulties in math.
After my studies, I had the opportunity to explain subjects to audience peers or to my little cousins who are ten years younger than me.
I started teaching at 17 and since then I have only enjoyed helping my students to achieve their goals (courses, years, diplomas) which gives me a lot of personal satisfaction. . I like that feeling of being helpful and being able to imagine making a difference in a student's journey.

    2) Tell us more about the subject taught, the topics you like to discuss with the students (and possibly the ones you like a little less)!

I am a physicist engineer, I like to explain everything related to mathematics and science in general. But I also give the computer sciences, the method of work, that it is for pupils in primary, humanity, university as well for scientific sectors as literary. I followed more than fifty students on these 7 years through 3 different platforms (ASBL "La Chaloupe", company "My sherpa: Educadomo" and ASBL "Blocus Assistance"). I learned a lot with them, whether it was accompanying students to a year-round program, managing students dropping out of school or monitoring blockades and giving lots of tips and tricks.

    3) Tell us about your models, be it a teacher who has marked you or a work that inspired you!

My model is my grandfather, he has had a brilliant engineering career and has always been able to explain things to me in an offbeat and very playful way. Whether to redo the electricity of the house, disassemble an old vacuum to see how it works, repair a car ...

I try to take an example of him as each student is unique, advances at his own pace, and sometimes has a different learning method.

Traditional methods, whether in humanity or at university, are not suitable for everyone. If a student does not understand something, I explain it in another way than that of the teacher, and if that is not enough, I try new tracks until finding a way that allows him to assimilate the concept .

    4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good expert in your field?
For me, a competent teacher is someone who can arouse curiosity, the desire to learn and to explain any subject to his students.

We must be attentive, listening to his students, understand them and adapt to help them better. My goal is always to allow the students to have all the keys in hand to be able to do without me once the finished work (but I am always available to return if necessary).

You need to know your different areas and try to understand how teachers work to help students meet their expectations.

Finally, a good teacher will have the complicity with his students, coach them, want to push them further and establish a bond of trust. When it is established, the two learn from each other.

    5) An anecdote related to your profession or your schooling to tell us?

My job is a technical profession, analysis and reflection. I am fulfilled, but this activity of teacher is not a job, but a hobby that brings me a lot.

Being able to share with students, help them and see them succeed, is something that touches me. Being a teacher is a vocation and I could not have given classes every day to complete classes of 20 students or more. I prefer to keep this as a hobby so as not to depend on it and only get positive. If I do it, it's because I like it and not because I'm forced to, I think that makes all the difference.

    6) Now you can reassure us and admit that you too have had difficulties in school ...

I was not the best of my class in humanity, far from it. I also doubled my first year at the university.
But I was able to find my method of work that allowed me to overcome all the obstacles and finally get my degree in civil engineering.

I think it's important to say that because I know what it's like to be a struggling student. I know what it is not to understand a subject.

I have brilliant friends, who always have the best points of the audience, but they are not necessarily good teachers. Indeed, they have always understood everything directly, so they do not know what it is to be lost, to understand nothing and to have difficulties.

I went through similar events, but I finally found my way. I can now see if a student has understood or thinks they have understood and if this is really the case. I have different mnemonics or more visual ways to see the material that would help someone who did not understand the first time.

I think this weakness that I had at one point in my studies is actually my greatest strength as a teacher.

    7) Help us get to know you a little better by talking about your passions.

I have a passion for Japan, both traditional culture and the modern side with manga and anime. I lived in Tokyo for 6 months as part of my studies where I studied engineering in electronics and nanotechnology. I am also curious and I like to share what I know, it is not limited just to private lessons. Indeed, I plan to create a YouTube channel on nanotechnology to share what I know with curious people who want to learn more.

    8) What makes you a Super Teacher?

It's the passion, the passion to explain, to discuss but above all, to learn. I am curious, I am interested in everything, and after learning many new things, I have only one desire: to share them!
It's the same with classes, I like to share the knowledge I've learned, help students understand subjects they do not necessarily appreciate, and even try to give them an affinity with them.
I think that the difficulties I have encountered allow me to better understand the students and I want to use this contact to help them.

Professor of Mathematics and Physics helps develop the potential of his students
The success of students and students in science, as well as the development of their potential, is important to me. Subjects considered difficult, such as mathematics and physics, are accessible to all with determination and perseverance. I attach great importance to sharing my knowledge in these areas with others, especially high school students. Placing the student at the center of my concerns, the support I offer is in harmony with the teachers. With 10 years of experience as an engineer, I worked in risk studies of industrial systems within large automotive and railway groups. My skills also extend to life coaching, and I am a certified master practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). I am bilingual in French and English. With 5 years of experience as a math and physics teacher, I also offer distance learning courses via the Google Meet application, given the current context. Do not hesitate to contact me for more details.

mathematics physics or chemistry lessons from primary to university
I am a civil engineer in construction and during my career, I made a specialization in chemistry, physics. I give lessons in everything related to science: math, physics, chemistry... I have been teaching in Belgium and even in England since 2015. Generally I ask the student to give me the material he wants to work on and the best thing is for him to prepare his questions so that we can move forward faster instead of being blocked and at the risk of reviewing parts that he has already understood. (Although I once had a class where I completely re-explained the teacher's syllabus.) I also ask to become familiar with the material and nothing is better for that than doing a lot of exercises.

Private lessons and help in primary and secondary math
Graduated in civil engineering and used to giving lessons, I know that it is sometimes difficult to understand certain notions of mathematics and science and that an explanation different from that seen at school can be beneficial. I can also provide help to the student on the management of his work so that he finds the method that suits him best.

Mathematics Physics Chemistry Lower and higher humanities
In accordance with the parents' and the student's request, I evaluate his level of knowledge, his weak points, his possible delays for old basics. Then I give him confidence: the math is accessible to everyone when it is well explained. I empower my students a max and actively participate in order not to do assisted! And finally I bring a specific help before a questioning, control or examination for less known material.
