About Me

My name is Raveesh, and I'm a certified yoga teacher (RYT 500), I did my training from the Yoga institute, India(the oldest organized yoga school in the world).
My interest in yoga started from my home, learning some asanas and pranayam from my mother. Yoga is more than just the postures, but it's more of a lifestyle. I have been on the yogic path for quite a few years. I have a few students that I teach online and also teach at Ananda Valley, Portugal, have also been part of the teaching team in various 200hrs TTC courses in Portugal and France
The classes will be personalized, based on your needs.

Education

Having grown up in India,I did my schooling and University studies from there. I studied bachelor's in Marine Engineering, and further worked in the field for 8 years there after.

Experience / Qualifications

Having worked on board cargo ships with a multi nationals, have helped me in opening up my mind.
However, I was seeking more in life than that job, and following the yogic lifestyle has a transformation in my life and I would like to share my knowledge and experience now as an yoga teacher. I do teach online. I did my yoga teacher training mostly to have a balance in my body and mind and did not have intentions of teaching. But during my course there was a group of friends who were also learning a basic course told me that they were getting bored and wishes they had more challenging postures. I offered to teach them and I got a very positive feedback. That inspired me to take up teaching in a more professional way. Have taught in 200hrs TTC at the Yoga Institute, France in Sep 23

Patanjali Yoga Sutra(It is like the grammar book on Spirituality for the ones on the path of Yoga). We explore this ancient text together and see how we can apply it in our daily lives. Ayurveda(Ayush-life; veda-knowledge): Together we explore the wisom of life, from simple eating habits, to understanding one's own nature and understanding others. Shrimad Bhagwad Gita( Song of God): Together we explore the Chapters from one of the simpler yet profound books of wisdom, which provides many different paths for different individuals. Samkhya philosophy: Ancient Indian philosophy formed to overcome pain and suffering in life, we explore this text in a simplified manner and see how we can apply it in out daily lives
