History, Art History and Philosophy Classes!

Passionate about history, I am at your disposal for any help you would need to organize and study your EDM / geography / human sciences courses. Focusing on efficiency, I make sure that the study relies as much as possible on current events in order to make it alive and relevant. All seriously, but always in a good mood.

I offer classes on History, Geography, and Political Science, with over 11 years' of experience in these subjects, both professionally and academically. I hold Bachelor's Degrees in both History and Political Science (from the University of Florida), as well as a Master's in Political Science, specifically European Politics (from KU Leuven). I have extensive experience in a wide range of historical and political subjects and have always had a keen interest in history and the social sciences. Additionally, previously I have been a journalist (dealing with Competition Law) and currently am an editor working on a wide variety of subjects for organizations such as the UNHCR and Goethe Institut, among others. I am capable of teaching and lecturing on numerous historical and political events and periods in history, with myself having specialized in European history, American history, African history, as well as the Medieval period and Antiquity.

I mainly teach math lessons from middle school to high school. Before starting the lessons, I need to get in touch with the student to know their level, the areas where they want to improve and their objectives. Depending on the level, I adapt the work seen in class to the different points of improvement and suggest exercises consistent with what the student is stuck on. At the same time, I go over point by point the elements that were not for the student (in the Ds and the questions) I rework the exercises seen in class. Finally, and this is the most important, I advise the student on his working methods, with what state of mind to approach the exercises. I can also provide homework help in subjects other than mathematics: I got 17 in the HEC philosophy exams and I didn't get below 18 in subjects such as SES, Philosophy and history in the BAC. I recommend at least one math lesson per week in order to take stock of the week; it is regularity that allows progress. As a Tutor at EDHEC I already have experience of courses with high schools. I am a calm, composed and educational person. In terms of math, I got 18 in my math baccalaureate and then I went to a HEC preparatory class at Louis-Le-Grand in advanced math where I had more than 12 hours of math per week.

With this tutoring class, my aim is to help the student to reach a level of understand of historical event with a methodology that is appropriate for the student and helps him/her. It can be a revision of basic notions seen in school or it can be the preparation of an exam .

Recent graduate of Oxford University, theology and religion. A*s in A levels and 9s at gcses. Will provide high level tutoring in any subject (ks2-4, gcse, a level etc) related to my degree subject. These include Religious studies, ethics, philosophy, politics, english (literature at a-level, lit and lang gcse). Can offer subject specific teaching, but also more generally essay writing practice, as well as oxbridge interview, personal statement, and entrance exam help, particularly for students in the state sector. However, with the right keys, they do not pose great difficulties and can even be rewarding. History is what connects the present to the past and helps us to predict the future. In my class, you will learn modern european history, in particular the history of Germany from 1918 to 1989. You will be taught by a world class teacher that has studied European history to a high level, gaining an A in the subject. The key aspects of the history of Germany will be broken down into manageable chunks for students to understand more easily. The classes are delivered through interactive learning consisting of kahoot quizes, powerpoint slides and asking questions to students. By making these classes fun and engaging, my aim is for students to always come away learning something they did not know before. All students of any age are welcome to join this class. My requirement for this class is for students to ask as many questions as possible because no question is a bad question, we are all here to learn!

The teacher is a Ugandan PhD student in International History at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He won a Government of Uganda Scholarship to pursue his undergraduate studies at Gulu University, gaining a first-class degree in Bachelor of Arts Education (History and Economics). Isa is also a graduate of the University of Cambridge, where he studied for an MPhil in African Studies as a Commonwealth Scholar. He has more than eight years of teaching experience, both at the secondary school and university level. In the past, he has taught classes on European, British, African, US, Asian, and Middle East histories. My history classes are suitable for the 10, 11, 12, and 13-year-old UK and IGCSE students (Cambridge International Curriculum) and AS and A-Level students (UK and Cambridge International). The learners will study history from political, economic, cultural, and social perspectives. They will develop an interest in understanding the past. Besides learning historical concepts such as cause, consequence, change, and continuity, learners will also gain a deeper understanding of global issues. Above all, students will develop higher-order thinking skills.
