Mathematics lessons for all levels by an EPFL student

Second year physics student at EPFL Lausanne. The courses are aimed in particular at university students, but also at secondary school students. For those attending EPFL, I can give classes in person. Otherwise, I am also available for online courses. The topics and course delivery are agreed with the students according to their specific needs. They can include both theoretical explanations and the carrying out of practical exercises. From my own experience, I have found that everyone can understand the most complex concepts, you just need to adopt the right approach and teaching method, which varies from person to person. As it is not always possible to make this important distinction in general courses, my intention is to provide those who need it with help in catching up with the program by filling in gaps and/or doubts. I do not favor a mnemonic approach, but rather a deep understanding of the subject.

Master's student in physics having obtained the baccalaureate with very good honors (19.8/20 general average) I happily help in learning mathematics and sciences in general which made me want to study at the EPFL and to come to KTH afterwards. I am a first year student at the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL) in the physics section. I had my baccalaureate with honors with 20/20 in mathematics and 18/20 in physics. I therefore master the middle and high school curriculum: in mathematics on all chapters and in physics, particularly the kinematics/dynamics chapters. I quickly noticed that the problem often comes from understanding the exercises given rather than the course itself, so here's how I like to proceed: I always start by first making sure that the principle of the course is understood by focusing on the points that block, and then we can start looking at the exercises, given by the teacher, that pose a problem. The goal is that at the end of the rehearsal course, the student has in his hands cards with the different methods used to solve all the possible types of exercises, especially those requested in the exam. I myself take care of preparing these sheets during the rehearsal course in order to summarize all the methods acquired.
