Geography provides basics in understanding different subjects and I teach Geography using maps which I believe is useful in getting familiar with different areas in the world. This subject will confuse you if you don't understand the basics, but you will enjoy the subject if it is taught in a right way.

Hi! I'm Marcella and I'm Italian. I'm an Italian and Spanish Teacher for foreigners graduated in European Languages and Cultures and DELE certified. I would love to introduce you to the Italian and Spanish languages through conversation sessions, study of grammar and interactive activities, so that you can see the use of the language and remember the topics you have just learned easily and in the long term. If you are a Spanish speaker or have studied Spanish and now feel ready to start studying the Italian language, I would like to help you understand the differences and common aspects between these two languages to facilitate learning through thought associations. At the core of my teaching methodology is the understanding that language needs to be meaningful to the user, and that each of them needs a structured plan aimed at achieving clear objectives, that's why my lessons are tailored to the specific needs of my students. So, whether you want brush up on your Italian or Spanish in preparation for a holiday, or because you are going to move to Italy or Spain for business purposes, or because you are just passionate about the sound of these beautiful languages... :) My role as your tutor is to equip you with the language you need and to practise your target language together until you feel comfortable enough to use it in real-life communication. Moreover, I believe that is significant to know the different ways of conveying the same "idea" to boost the vocabulary, the way of speaking and, above all, to sound like a native! I offer classes on History, Geography, and Political Science, with over 11 years' of experience in these subjects, both professionally and academically. I hold Bachelor's Degrees in both History and Political Science (from the University of Florida), as well as a Master's in Political Science, specifically European Politics (from KU Leuven). I have extensive experience in a wide range of historical and political subjects and have always had a keen interest in history and the social sciences. Additionally, previously I have been a journalist (dealing with Competition Law) and currently am an editor working on a wide variety of subjects for organizations such as the UNHCR and Goethe Institut, among others. I am capable of teaching and lecturing on numerous historical and political events and periods in history, with myself having specialized in European history, American history, African history, as well as the Medieval period and Antiquity.

Most important is that each course is based on the needs, interests and availability of the student. - The method is mainly what is called communicative, aimed at stimulating the student to speak immediately and put the focus on the functional aspect of the language. For beginners, I usually follow a specific program, I prepare a course and for each lesson I send students the files that I scan from the various books. Also the lessons can be essentially developed as conversations on specific subjects.

In this course, you will learn a range of linguistic methods and learn the terms used for describing a specific aspect of language or phenomenon (lexis, morphemes, and 'telegraphic stage' to give a few examples). The course requires you to explore your own data using quantitative and qualitative analysis (eg: how frequently are slang phrases used? Are there new auxiliaries being created?). No historical linguistics or literature is involved, but language change or specific traits will be sampled via your own data collection (if this is what is demanded in your course). As many students need to present a "year abroad" dissertation at University level (3rd year in the UK of a Modern Languages or Linguistics Undergraduate course) I can help you to research and structure your year abroad work, both in English (Linguistics) and Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish). The topics that have arisen from recent discussions with students relate to French Caribbean writing, Italian resistance and reprisals in Rome (Fosse Ardiatine), and Spanish Etica franquista in films (among others).

Learn the methodology in dissertation and document analysis from middle school as well as high school. As for speaking in public, it is necessary for the oral exams at the end of high school. I have been part of a debate group for 3 years and have acquired a certain mastery there. I am a student in high school, in the final year and I already have experience in helping with homework in my high school. I also chose the HGGSP specialty (geopolitics and political science) in second and I obtained my baccalaureate in this subject.
