Graduated from a Masters in Comparative Literature and a Masters in Literary Translation, currently a freelance translator, I offer tutoring courses for middle and high school students in French. I have already accompanied several students in their preparation for the French bac, who have all made good progress. With my students, I insist on acquiring a good methodology to succeed, and put special emphasis on self-confidence: text commentary and essay should not be scary exercises! I work with the texts studied in class and adapt to the student's needs: revisions, feedback on corrected homework, preparation for oral exams, writing exercises ... I have traveled around the globe which has led me to speak several languages and also to work in particular in England, Australia, Spain or the Dominican Republic. Basically I start the lessons by talking with my students about a bit of everything (in order to enrich the vocabulary). Depending on the level I adapt with files that are sent during the course. I also use the Callan method which works on repetition in order to properly assimilate useful words and phrases. I am an Italian teacher (my mother tongue) in a French high school and college. I hold a Master's degree with honors in Foreign Languages and Literatures (English and French) from the University of Bologna. I also studied Spanish for five years and lived and worked in Spain for two years, reaching C2 level. I have experience as a teacher of English for high school students, Spanish for migrants and as an educator in educational projects for children and adolescents with special needs. During these experiences, I was able to develop and perfect a method that was both didactic and educational, based on active listening to needs, trust and cooperation. When it comes to the material, I try to make it as dynamic and creative as possible, aware of the fact that language learning is more effective if placed in situational contexts and based on personal inclinations.
