As a self taught guitar player, I believe guitar is best learnt through songs you love, rather than from a book. I can take you through efficient paths to achieve your goals through my 8 years of trial and error learning guitar. I have been teaching for a year now and can also coach on high quality song writing and production as a bedroom guitarist!

I am Natalia, a piano musician and music writer. I compose my own music pieces on the piano, music tracks in different genres including, for example, film scores, pop songs and classical music. Every writer has a unique writing voice that is deeply connected to lived experience. This weekly exploratory public program will engage participants in both theatre-based embodied practices and writing exercises designed to assist them in tapping into a deeper process of crafting poetry. The progression of the program will be as follows: Week 1- A brief exploration of the questions, "What is a poem?", “What makes a good poet?” and "Why do write poetry?". Participants will bring their favorite selection of poetry to discuss why they feel connected to both the writing and the poet. This is in preparation for Week 2.

A class tailored to students needs, in which we go through a variety of warm ups, focus on the main body of the lesson via 2-3 activity types plus text study, lesson overview and a fun interactive spontaneous short activity at the end. Lessons are fun, engaging, and personalised to the needs and the objectives of the student.

This class will allow you to develop your poetry writing (and creative writing) skills and develop your practice. We will cover creative writing techniques and skills required for writing well-crafted poetry. We will look at different areas such as writing about place, theme and people.

I am an experienced, engaging and versatile tutor of English Literature, Language, Creative Writing and Poetry. I have a BA in English Literature from Aberystwyth University, an MA in Critical Theory and Creative Writing from Sussex University, and a PhD in Critical Theory and Literature, also from Sussex. I am friendly and supportive, and work with a broad range of abilities and ages. I have tutored GCSE and A-level pupils at State schools across the UK, as well as students at independent schools such as Marlborough College, Bedales, Charterhouse and Hurtwood House. For five years I was also writer in residence at Hurtwood House. Previously, I taught English Literature and Critical Theory at Sussex University, and Creative Writing and Performance Skills at Brighton University. I frequently go into schools and colleges to run one-off enrichment sessions, and have developed standalone programmes for youth centres, arts centres, theatres and creative writing retreats. Hello, I’m Laura, and I absolutely love teaching singing. There’s something very special about helping students discover and develop their voice, whether they’re singing for the first time or working towards refining their technique. Watching someone grow in confidence and truly enjoy their singing is what makes teaching so rewarding. I have a Master’s degree in Songwriting from Bath Spa University and vocal training with BAST, giving me a strong foundation in both performance and technique. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of performing at festivals such as Shambala, Secret Garden Party, Boomtown, and Cheltenham Jazz Festival, as well as supporting big names from the underground music scene across the UK. Through these experiences, I’ve seen first-hand how powerful singing can be, not just as a skill but as a way of expressing something deep and personal. My goal is to help students connect with their voice in a way that feels natural, expressive, and fulfilling. As a qualified and experienced yoga facilitator, I may incorporate breathing exercises and yoga techniques into sessions where needed. These can be particularly helpful in releasing tension, improving mindset, and opening up the voice, allowing students to sing with greater ease and confidence. So I bought myself some pens and some notebooks and I began to keep a 'diary', these little notebooks I would scribble down in were anything but 'diaries' though. I soon found that channelling my energy into poetry and storytelling, helped me not only put into perspective the things in my life I was struggling with, but I also found my voice, my vocation and what I now do for a career.
