The viola is a wonderful instrument, it has a warm and passionate voice and is characterized by its sweetness and softness in both the low and high registers. Being an instrument that is not as comfortable as the violin, sound production in the viola needs special attention. In my lessons I try to increase in my students the ability to perceive and recognize the position of their body in space and the state of contraction of their muscles. I studied violin degree at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo in Spain and viola in Spain and at the Utrechts Conservatorium. The research of my final exam was about well-being and phisical education to improve and accelerate the learning process. I want my students to be aware of the importance of good posture and technique in order to enjoy the learning process without problems.

As well as instrumental teaching and ensemble coaching of all ages and levels over the last 12 years, I’ve led numerous professional workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ in London and have taught on the Senior and Primary Arpeggione Viola Courses. As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I participated in their conferences across Europe, including at the European Parliament in 2018. I also prepare students for music exams, auditions and competitions at all levels, and work with them on music theory, aural and sight reading skills, and can accompany them the piano. Alongside my teaching I perform internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, including at Kings Place London, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and Philharmonie Berlin.
