I offer in person and online lessons in violin and viola. I am based in Neukölln, Berlin. I have taught violin and viola in the UK for leading national organisations including Opera North, In harmony and Orchestras for All. I have over 10 years of private and school based teaching experience and have taught students from aged 4 to adults. I also ran an outreach music and arts project in the UK delivering music and art workshops in schools and art galleries as well as online, the project was recognised with two national awards from Deutsche Bank and UnLtd. I have led and conducted school string ensembles and set up beginner string programs for Harrogate Music School, Cardiff Young Strings and The Strings Club, Birmingham. My teaching style incorporates aspects of Dalcroze and Kodaly methodology as well as improvisation and collaborative composition. I develop a bespoke approach alongside each student to ensure they are able to get the most out of their lessons and make lessons enjoyable. My lessons focus on developing technique and skills required to play music the student has chosen and I incorporate play and games into lessons to enable the most effective learning. I work mostly in classical, improvisation and new music contexts but can provide lessons in all genres. Lessons are in English. Regular, irregular and one-off lessons are possible. I teach from beginner-advanced.

Viola/Violin for all levels and ages. I graduated from Viola at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Brussels, and also as a music Professor for all levels from the Conservatory of Buenos Aires (Argentina), specialized in viola.I have experience teaching music to kids through games, in school orchestras or privately. I also teach adults, adjusting the class to their interests and needs. During the lessons, the student will also learn music theory integrated with the instrument class.

Hello, I have extensive experience with students of all ages as a teacher of music theory, violin and viola. Custom classes, focused on student interests. I studied violin degree at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo in Spain and viola in Spain and at the Utrechts Conservatorium. My teaching experience is more than 10 years and I have played with many symphonic orchestras and explored different music styles. I love teaching and I can help you to improve your skills and play your favorite music.

The guitar lessons are partly theory and partly practice. During the first guitar lesson I first look at the starting level. This is different for each guitar student. You can follow guitar lessons for both the acoustic guitar and the electric guitar. With electric guitar lessons, developing your own sound using guitar effects is also part of the guitar lesson.

Each person is original, fells music differently from others, want different sound and music from the same instrument. Hi, I'm Caitlin! I have been playing violin/viola for almost 30 years and teaching it for 15 years! I have travelled all over the world playing. I have enjoyed studying with some of the greatest teachers such as Sally Thomas and Kurt Nikkanen. Teaching is my passion and I have a studio of 60+ students of all ages, abilities, and techniques! Lessons for all ages and abilities, from beginner to advanced. Learning how to start playing the violin or mastering your skills and meeting your goals. I teach all types of technique from Suzuki to traditional to fiddle!

Feeling good with your body and listening to it, understanding where the sound comes from and how to produce it, learning the basics and how to read the notes and the score, learning tricks and daily exercises without the instrument to help you develop your agility and muscles, playing together duets to get closer to the chamber music world and to learn how to listen and collaborate with others. I think it's important to listen also to the student's requests and desires; if you have a tune or a piece that you would love to play we can work on it together. Folk music is also an interesting way through which we can get closer to the instrument and the music world, playing traditional dances from different countries and discovering different music languages. As every person has his own physiognomy and musculature, we will try to find together a correct and comfortable posture that better suits the student to create a connection with the instrument. Warming-up and taking care of our body is part of a musician's life (beginner, amateur or professional) and it is important to prevent injuries and muscle pain. Unfortunately this aspect is not often taken into account and for this reason I aim to transmit this value to my students.

How do you learn and what are your goals in learning music? I aim to make learning music as interesting and accessible as possible. I use a scaffolded approach to teaching that pairs physically sustainable playing techniques (Alexander Technique) with built-upon previous knowledge and interests. I hold MM and BM degrees from New York University and The University of Iowa and studied with Melissa White and Gregory Fulkerson for the entirety of my Masters of Music at New York University. I am a violinist and violist currently living and working in New York City. I have played in such venues as Lincoln Center Summer Stages, Carnegie Hall, Duomo di Orvieto, among others. I grew up playing bluegrass with my parents and now genre-hop among traditional classical music, contemporary classical, pop, singer-songwriter, musical theater, jazz, avant-garde, and folk. For these reasons and more, I enjoy tailoring the repertoire and technique education to the student's goals and interests. I have taught 3 year olds, elementary kids, high schoolers, college students, and adult learners, and enjoyed all within the age range for various reasons.
