I’ll teach you how to approach practice on trumpet or other instruments, based on my 15 years old experience. It’s crucial for me to find approach to every student, and to share knowledge I collected from deferent teachers, musicians and life.

We will discuss the technical bases of the trumpet for beginners or in more depth for experienced people. Gaining flexibility in range to be able to play as calmly as possible is for me the basis of things. I did classical studies and then specialized in jazz. The study of the classical method is of course possible, as is the work of jazz phrasing or even improvisation for those who want to start in this branch.

The trumpet: its correct technical execution and the interpretation of popular and academic universal repertoires, is available to everyone regardless of their age. We will build a logical sequence of studies that will help develop the technical aspects. And we will address repertoires according to the age and taste of the student. we will draw a path with short, medium and long term goals. we will build a technical routine and healthy habits to progress correctly. In addition, we will select musical pieces by mutual agreement to mature the technical development hand in hand with musical growth. I am a professional trumpeter, I have participated in symphony orchestras, wind bands, big band, and small chamber and jazz ensembles. I have extensive experience teaching children, youth and adults. For me it is very important to make music from the first lesson, because there must be a balance between technical practice and its application in small melodies or musical pieces. No matter the musical genre, we will always find a repertoire according to the level and interest of each student. If you already know how to play and you need to perfect a piece or prepare a recital or audition, you can count on my experience and accompaniment as well.

My teaching method is as follows without the instrument: Awareness of the breath, placement of the mask (lips, tongue, palate, throat), body position. With the instrument: The air column, the position of the mouthpiece, the work and the position of the tongue. How to be enduring on the trumpet and get tired as little as possible. For the advanced: work on the treble, the brass section, precision, Cat Anderson's whisper g, the choice of mouthpieces, the piccolo trumpet. There are also balms to relax the facial muscles, flush out lactic acid, oxygenate the blood and reduce swelling. Hi, I'm Justine, I just finished my bachelor's degree at the Brussels Conservatory and I'm starting a training in pedagogy next year. I was a student for 6 years at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels while being accepted in one of the most prestigious conservatories in Belgium. In master 1 I had the pleasure of leaving for a year in Erasmus in Italy in Rome, artistic capital essential in particular musically. I have already taught the trumpet by giving private lessons and lessons can be done in French, English and Italian and also by webcam.
