Ableton Live Suite is a vital tool for digital music production and in this course, I will break down how to create music with this software, weather instrumental live tracking or building a digital beat. In this course, we will cover music theory and basic instrumental skills, programming MIDI, tracking audio, arrangement, and some basic mixing.

Together we can develop your skill as a cello player, building a strong technical and musical foundation. We will find a learning style that best suits you. We can study the cello repertoire and traditional techniques and we can also explore the cello in less traditional ways - improvising, writing music, using electronics and combining it with other instruments.

I'm a multi-instrumentalist singer, songwriter and performer and I offer applied classes on writing/arranging/producing pieces of music using various instruments of your choice, including your computer. I use a 'learning by creating' method, where we focus and go deeper on certain aspects depending on your needs on your music creation process. I like to use personalised methods that matches your desires, rather than following a certain curriculum. The goal is to help you gain or improve awareness on how a piece of music is written and learn various ways to begin and finalise a writing process. During our practices, I will naturally be transferring my knowledge on certain aspects such as: - Rhythm - Form - Dynamics - Texture - Melody making - Singing - Guitar playing - Placing words into music/making music around words - Improvisation as a compositional tool - Integration of Ableton Live into creative process - Recording - Mixing During the sessions, we'll either write together from scratch or work on your own material and tackle the issues of constructing a piece of music. I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.
