Music has always been an integral part of my life. I am a cellist in the 1st year of a Master's degree at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève. I started the piano at the age of 7. I took private lessons for 7 years and a year at the Geneva Conservatory of Music. From 2019 to 2021, I took piano lessons at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève for 2 years as a secondary instrument. As a musician, I would like to be able to introduce the melodious beauty of the piano to people of all ages. I obtained my Master's degree in Pedagogy at the Geneva University of Music in June 2024.

Professional singer (soprano colorature) graduated from the Tirana Academy of Arts, winner of the International Lyric Song Contest of Prishtina in the solo category as well as many other national competitions (in Albania) gives singing lessons in Carouge. Professor of music in several Geneva institutions, member of the Operami troupe and singer-soloist of the Electrum & Elisir group, she participated in the Euro Song Contest 2014 and recorded her voice for the Swiss artist Sky76 on her last two albums. This course is aimed at students of all levels who really want to progress in learning to sing for a fun or professional purpose. The musical styles that can be approached range from classical music to radio music (pop, soul, rock, house, etc.) and folk music. Knowledge of music theory, although useful, is not mandatory. In case of need bases of music theory will be addressed in class.

Hello, My name is Louana, I am 30 years old and am currently a piano teacher for students ranging from 3 to 65 years old. Indeed, I started very young music with first 2 years of rhythm then 5 years of Solfege Jacques-Dalcroze and finally 12 years of piano including 10 at the Conservatory of Music in Geneva. (each year of study being validated by exams & diplomas) Today I continue to play for fun and give some of my time to teach a few students once a week. Class sessions are generally 45 minutes to 1 hour as proposed by the Conservatory. I teach with my old scores which allows a gradual evolution step by step. Obviously, I remain attentive to everyone's wishes, but I particularly teach classical music because in my opinion, these are the best bases allowing you to play what you want. I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (USA). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

Even though music is universal, specific terms and method learning differ from one culture and another one. This is why I propose some individual courses of music and piano for people curions about discovering or maybe improving their artistic skills in the language of Moliere. At the beginning of the lesson, the student will be trained by some theory, not the best part for most people. But with the help of mnemotechnic methods, those basics won't have a secret for him/her anymore ;) Then, I will adapt the pratical part depending on the student's level...and will of course ;) He/She can bring the music piece he would like to play.
