About Me

My name is Philipp, I am 28 years old and currently live in Essen.
I was already enthusiastic about music when I was a child and so it came about that I went to music school to take guitar lessons at a very early age. There I first learned to read music and to play the classical guitar. I actually wanted to get started with the electric guitar right away, but my teacher thought it wise to put it off first. (Was a good idea).
When I was 13 years old I got an electric guitar and got my first experience in self-founded bands. Through my older brother, MTV & VIVA, I came into contact with music from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, AC / DC, Limp Bizkit, Green Day etc. at an early age.
My parents always liked listening to music too. In the living room there was more music from Stevie Wonder, Sade, Santana, Michael Jackson, Prince etc.
And so one thing led to another.
After graduating from high school, I went to Los Angeles and collected tons of impressions there.
I've been back in Germany since 2012 and have been working as a freelancer ever since.

For me as a guitar teacher, it is important that my students receive structured lessons and that they enjoy learning and discovering.
How does the fretboard work? How do I orient myself? Chords? Scales?
There are so many things to discover that it is important to keep an overview.
The skills you learn are applied to songs by your favorite bands.
How do I compose? What is my job as a guitarist in a band? etc.
We also find answers to these questions.
