Welcome to the music class! Here, we are gonna discover the wonders of learning an instrument. From reading note letters, implementing a proper form to sight reading a piece, we are gonna learn in our own pace. If you're just learning music now and it feels like there's a lot to understand, don't worry we're gonna start from the basics. I will help you understand music and its elements. With your dedication and my guidance, I'm positive that we will get a good result!

Whether you want to take your playing to the next level or start learning your first chords, I can help you progress at a steady pace. My aim as a teacher is not to overwhelm students with theory and sight-reading. Instead, I prefer to make my lessons more personal by finding out your musical interests. This way I can help you achieve your own goals more easily. Currently in my final year at Codarts University for the Arts, I am the leader of a jazz quintet and perform in various venues across the Netherlands.

If you are a complete beginner we'll be starting with different finger exercises, music theory and will be discovering different genere's of music as well. The ultimate goal will be to make you able to play your favourite songs without being dependent on internet for the notes. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. Learn the most common chords and be able to play your first song after just 1 lesson! You will build a solid foundation in guitar playing through carefully selected songs that you get to choose from. Once you get the hang of the fundamentals, you get to tell me which songs you want to learn during our lessons to expand your skills and become more proficient, and I will teach you how to read and play your favorite songs like a master! After learning the more common chords and basics of guitar playing, you will learn about strumming patterns, finger picking, and tabs through the songs of your choice. One benefit of this technological world is that we can find almost anything online if we know where and how to look, which includes most of our favorite songs. All you have to do is give me the names of songs you would like to play, and I will work my magic to help you achieve that goal. Playing the songs you listen to and love makes the lessons a lot more fun and rewarding for everyone. My guitar lessons inspire creativity and help develop new students into world-class players. I teach vocal technique through body awareness. We’ll dive into the essential principles of singing: breath, resonance, and articulation.
