I enjoy teaching and although my approach is more on the creative side, I will give you the necessary technical tools for you to develop an easy and fluent workflow. Logic Pro is one of the best and most complete Digital Audio Workstations out there. If your passion is creating music or sound, either as a career or a hobby, this is a course for you. I offer one-on-one lessons where my goal is to show students of different ages and levels how to achieve their own, unique sound with the tools that the software provides. There will be different areas to focus depending on each student, but those include but are not limited to music theory for producers, audio engineering for producers, song structuring, beat-making and more. In this class, you are going to learn the fundamentals of creating original music, including Music theory, Motif Development, Rhythm, Structure, Orchestration, and Music Notation. During our classes, we are also going to explore different musical genres, analyze and finally put them into practice.

Hello, I’m Liam, and I’m excited to be your guide in this songwriting class! With over 10 years of experience as a songwriter, performer, and producer, I’ve had the privilege of writing in a wide variety of genres, pop, rock, folk. My songs have been featured on radio, and my approach to songwriting focuses on the intersection of creativity, emotion, and craft. I love helping aspiring songwriters find their unique voice, overcome creative challenges, and develop their skills. Whether you're new to songwriting or looking to take your craft to the next level, I aim to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where you can grow and experiment with new ideas. My teaching style emphasizes both the technical aspects of songwriting (like melody, structure, and lyrics) and the more intuitive, emotional side of creating music. I believe that every songwriter has something unique to say, and my goal is to help you express that voice in the most authentic way possible. For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session. Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.

I will instruct students in the fundamental principles of free counterpoint—composition with melodic lines—with an emphasis on two-part writing and imitative counterpoint, based on my former Berklee College of Music training (alumni). We will apply the fundamental principles in practice and also examine the respective literature.

I have been giving private music lessons and fortepiano for a long time. In addition to my classical music education in 2000, I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychopedagogy in 2006. This year I am interested in expanding my practice to include more students with special needs. I learned about the different ways music can help students with special needs. It helps them express their emotions and develop their memories and self-regulatory skills. It can show them strengths that they might not otherwise find during their school day. It can also open their eyes to a whole world of expression and beauty, enriching their lives.
