Clarinet Lessons from Beginner to Conservatorium Level

My name is Nuno and I am a clarinet teacher! I have a bachelor's degree in music and a master's degree from the Geneva Music School! I am currently doing my master's degree - soloist orientation - at Haute École de Musique de Lausanne I teach all ages and all levels! I am a very motivated teacher with a great capacity to adapt. I respond to the needs of each student, thus ensuring rapid technical and musical development. In the classes we will address the different elements that make up music in different styles, knowing the particular language of each one. To do this, we will work on the different tools that we have with each instrument at the level at which each one is. We all know music but many times they make us believe that no, that it is necessary to know how to read and write. That is the graphic part of the language that we will learn little by little, music is a compendium of many other things. Some that we already know and others to know. We will study the use of the keys and the positions of the clarinet, or the sax, the best way to position ourselves whether we play standing or sitting, the most efficient way to use the air, the diaphragm, the muscles. We will learn to form a good embouchure and we will develop a study method adapted to each one, according to their tastes, possibilities and interests. I work with boys and girls from different parts of the world as well as with adults and the elderly. In my experience I learned that, truly, the greatest limitation that we find ourselves is the very feeling of not being able, of believing that we cannot. The support of a dedicated teacher is essential to get out of those places where we accidentally enter and that sometimes limit us. We all feel that sometime. It is time for us to remedy it. I will provide my own materials in pdf, video and audio. There is no age limit.

I am a professional clarinetist graduated with distinction at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels (Master Degree in Clarinet) and holding a Bachelor Diploma from the Music Conservatory of Valencia (Spain). Currently I am studying for a Master's Degree in Bass Clarinet, so we can combine both instruments in my lessons. I teach students of all ages and levels. In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination. I offer clarinet lessons to young or adult musicians who like to play the clarinet, regardless of whether you are a beginner or an advanced player. I work from a holistic principle in which I base myself on various methods for clarinet practice (for beginners this is for example Jan van Beekum, hearing reading and playing or Collis. Hi there! With more than 15 years of experience in the art world, I am a jazz musician, composer and active clarinetist. I have knowledge of photography and graphic design, and I believe in the importance of creating and training as a multidisciplinary artist prepared to make a living. their art, so I integrate all this knowledge in my classes, adapting them to the level and needs of the student in an empathetic and joyful way.

Fun and engaging clarinet lessons with an internationally experienced clarinetist! Students can work towards exams (AMEB, ABRSM etc) or study just for fun. As well as the usual repertoire I can also help students work on their band/orchestra/ensemble music. My teaching style is very much customised to the age and level of the student. For example, in the case of children who are beginners, I will be quite directive, giving them clear instructions and tasks of what they are to do and how to do it. For older students, I will encourage a more individualised and exploratory style. I don't want my students to be clones of myself - musicians should develop their own musicality and style of playing!

My teaching experience has ranged from children or adults starting from zero with the instrument to students with a medium-professional level. I specialize in clarinet, although I also teach piano at beginners' level and theoretical subjects, from music theory to harmony, analysis and music history.
