I’m a guitarist and guitar teacher, in Maastricht and I would like to present you my guitar lessons, also with music theory included and sessions of music for children and families. My name is Sofija and I am a pianist currently studying at Conservatorium Maastricht. I believe that music helps us to develop skills and qualities such as patience, accuracy and sensitivity that we all need in our daily life. It can be also a great way to connect to other people or to yourself. In the lessons we will focus on your needs and wishes both if you are a beginner or an advanced player. My goal would be to make a beginner feel comfortable with features such as good orientation in the scores and on the keyboard, musical and rhythmical playing, basic technical skills and knowledge of musical terminology. With an advanced player we will further develop their own interpretation and musical ideas. Lessons can be taught in English, Czech or Russian. I'm excited to share my experience with you and be creative together!

Individual lessons based on the needs of each student, using a mix of classic and innovative teaching methods. Lessons are one hour, 45 minutes or 30 minutes each, but can be adapted as required. My work experience allows me to structure lessons for children aged 5 and up and for people of all ages. I have always adapted my academic and teaching skills to the needs and ambitions of each individual student, structuring the most suitable teaching methodology for each individual. The nice, emotional, and depth sound of the cello attracted my interest from the age of four and I decided from this young age to start learning how to play this beautiful instrument. As the years were passing by I was getting more and more impressed from the glory of music and of the cello. So my love and my passion became a profession. I am from Greece and I lived in the Netherlands for the last five years. I finished my Bachelor studies in cello performance at The Royal Conservatory of The Hague and I obtained a certificate in Music Education. Now I am continuing my master studies at Conservatorium Maastricht and I work in parallel as a freelance cellist and cello teacher. Teaching is my passion. In the last 5 years, I teach regularly. Beginners, elder amateur cellist, advanced teenagers, and kids of all ages are some of my students.
