Music production and recording technology may seem complicated at first glance, but in our 1-on-1 private lessons we can discuss the creative and technical tools you need to unleash your own creativity. Whether it's songwriting, recording techniques or beat making, we can do it all together. All genres are welcome. During the lessons we can learn to work with different programs, such as Logic, Pro Tools or Ableton. The lessons are for students of all ages and levels. Knowledge of solfège is not required. I studied guitar and music production at the Conservatory in Ghent and have been active as a professional musician for several years. I have 12 years of experience as a private teacher. A powerful Digital Audio Workstation that allows musicians and beginner producers to record a whole album if they wish. I'll teach you how to remake a song/piece of your choosing from the ground up. You'll use the inbuilt virtual instruments, your own voice, and your guitar/keyboard to rebuild your chosen track or give it your own unique stamp. Music production is a huge topic so I'll teach you the essential musical skills such as ear training, understanding rhythm, and basic harmony. You'll learn basic recording skills using the iPad mic or an interface and we'll use virtual/real instruments to record the parts. You'll learn how to edit and I'll show you how to create an interesting song structure and how to layer multiple tracks so they don't clash! Finally, we'll look at mixing, effects, and EQ to give your track a professional polish!

We will tailor these sessions towards whatever areas of music production you desire. I can help up your skills in sound design, recording techniques, and composition. My class is for anyone interested in music as a tool for life. The focus is to learn how to play an instrument and also cultivate mindfulness habits. I have taught with my own method for 20 years to hundreds of students from all walks of life. We start our session with a short mindfulness exercise and then you'll learn how to play your chosen instrument through your favourite songs. If you're interested we can also then start to learn how to write songs and even record them!

Students will learn how to structure a song, create emotional resonance, and apply basic music theory to enhance their songwriting. By the end of the lesson, students will have written a complete song draft, incorporating both lyrical and musical elements. My name is Roman and I have been a composer of electronic music for about ten years. A multi-instrumentalist, I began my musical adventure by playing the guitar and then the piano. After obtaining my Brevet d'Études Musicales, I trained in Computer-Assisted Music (MAO), composition, audio mixing and mastering techniques. I work on Ableton Live software. Today, as an artist-author, I regularly partner with other artists and contribute to a wide variety of live performance and music-for-image projects.
