I have been giving chinese lessons for more than 10 years. Before that, I was a radio broadcaster and a journalist in China, hence I have a perfect pronunciation of the official mandarin, without any accent. It provides my students the best conditions to learn chinese, as the tone you give to words when you speak chinese as a foreigner is of great importance if you want to be understood by natives. I offer Mandarin lessons for people who want to learn the language and be able to communicate in everyday life. Having learned traditional Chinese (used in Taiwan), it is this form of writing that I teach in writing, oral communication being undifferentiated between mainland China and other Chinese-speaking countries. However, I use the phonetic system of pinyin to simplify teaching. My mastery of Chinese being above all oral, I propose to work on all aspects relating to pronunciation (Chinese initials and finals, isolated tones and in context) for beginners, and the fluidity of oral expression for more advanced levels. I run private lessons, where all levels are welcome. But if you’re a total beginner then I offer basic classes to help you find the way to get into it. I develop diverse methods of teaching for the students. For the around 5-8 years old kids, I would like to set certain games to play with them, thereby the kids can learn the new language during the interaction and communication. In this way, different media, like color pictures, puppets, or storybooks are essential to make the course very attractive.
