I am 17 years old and have lived in Barcelona all my life. I speak fluent Spanish, Catalan, Dutch and English. As a Dutch person, I know very well what it is like to live and go to school in a Spanish-speaking country. I have guided many (new foreign) classmates in Spain in learning the language and culture, so that they felt at ease more quickly. I now live in The Hague and I like to help children with their first steps in Spanish.

I am a qualified teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language from the University of Alcala de Henares and have a degree in Translation (English and German). I have been teaching Spanish to students with different levels and nationalities for many years. Courses: I offer general Spanish courses, for specific purposes (business, tourism, etc.), also preparation courses for the DELE examination and EPSO exam (language test for EU Commission employees). All of my Spanish courses are adapted to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF or CEFR): beginner (A1, A2), intermediate-advanced (B1, B2) and proficiency (C1, C2). You can contact me for extra German lessons at any level. This may include speaking, reading and writing skills, but also grammar, literary history or exam training. I myself have a broad German education: MO-A, MO-B and doctoraal. I have provided German lessons for the Scheidegger Institute, the Educational Center, in-company training and students of VCL The Hague. In addition to German, I teach Dutch up to and including the level of secondary education and NT-2 to non-Dutch speakers. I do not assume fixed teaching methods, but tailor the teaching material to you as an individual student as optimally as possible. I help pupils who struggle at school, I help those with Special Educational Needs like, Dyslexia and ADHD. I can help with reading, spelling, writing in younger pupils and in older pupils I help with their literacy skills like essay writing. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you travel back and forth by train every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Memorise the timetable. 2) Realise that the train comes every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in textbooks and in normal lessons, the first approach is used - in the course I am offering you, it is the second approach because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both pupils and adults who want to learn the German language without time-consuming detours through the madness of fruitless school methods. Learning is easy, but unlearning things that have become bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.
