Homework help & MATH lessons on COLLE / St PAUL & Surroundings - By PROFESSOR OF TRADE & PROFESSIONAL COACH
By PROFESSOR & PROFESSIONAL COACH Hello, First and foremost, I would like to wish you a warm welcome back to school and a peaceful year ahead as you work towards your goals. I am aware that the economic situation can sometimes be challenging, which is why I offer my services to accompany your child throughout their academic journey with ease and serenity. Throughout my career as a Graduate Teacher and Graduate Professional Coach, I have worked in various contexts. Until last year, I taught in front of whole classes as well as in private lessons. Since this year, I have been providing face-to-face private lessons at home and also via video conferencing, a mode of teaching that I have practiced with university students for the past ten years. My teaching environment has undergone significant changes, especially with the emergence of the Covid pandemic. This shift has led our secondary school students to adapt to the new mode of learning and communication, namely video conferencing. Despite the success of this transition, it is important to acknowledge that our younger students still require attention and a psycho-emotional connection in order to develop their autonomy peacefully. Over the past two decades, I have implemented proven methodological approaches, some of which are borrowed from theater techniques, such as the Davis method (mind mappings/colors), and my specialty, professional coaching, which aims to enhance your child's motivation. My main goal is to foster agility in your child across all subjects, not only for the present but also for their future when I will no longer be by their side. Ultimately, my objective goes beyond simply focusing on gaining points in a subject. I firmly believe in this approach due to my experience as a Mental Coach working with young athletes between Nice and Cannes, as well as throughout Europe via video conferencing, as part of their preparation for the French Tennis Championships. It has reinforced my conviction that working on a subject should be a nurtured objective that encompasses personal growth and development. As a Professor in General Education, specializing mainly in scientific subjects, I suggest supporting your child in gaining agility in constructing their academic path during this unique period that is filled with both opportunities and challenges. Looking forward to meeting you soon, Corinne. Social Sciences and qualitative research for higher education (from bachelor to post-doc)
I offer Social Sciences and qualitative research classes for university students in all levels. I have experience teaching and mentoring students at different levels of their academic formation. From classic social studies, to the most recent theoretical developments in Anthropology, Sociology, Political Sciences or History, I can guide you through the intricacies of social thought and research in a clear, motivated and exciting way. Who am I? A committed social scientist, MA and Ph.D in Anthropology, completed 4yrs post-Ph.D in political anthropology. I have conducted four different research projects, all of them focusing in southern African communities and dealing with an array of distinct topics (religious syncretism; memory and identity; local and state politics; literary practices; history making; power and authority). During my studies I have built a very consistent and broad theoretical and ethnographic knowledge, particularly, but not only, when it comes to the interdisciplinary field of African studies (a complex literature in which I feel very comfortable and able to navigate with full proficiency). I am a very experienced researcher (with more than 3 years of fieldwork experience in southern Africa), acquainted with all kinds of qualitative methods, from interviews, ritual analysis, archival work and social media research. I have much experience writing, assessing and tutoring research projects; peer-reviewing academic papers (including American Anthropology, Caderno de Estudos Africanos, among others); participating in thesis commission board; and as a university professor. Mentoring and teaching is truly my passion, and with a very consistent and mature knowledge of the literature you can expect a most precise, competent assistance. How do I work? * You have a specific topic to unravel: we will go to the button of it through an interdisciplinary genealogy of concepts and an attentive look to their uses in concrete situations. * You have an ongoing/finished paper: I will proofread your paper and offer you a logic schematics of your central argument. The idea is to first pull you out of the hurricane to identify its trajectory, and then push you back at its peaceful centre, were we can polish your ideas, cleaning unnecessary digressions and adding relevant data and literature. * You have/need a research project: I will read and comment your project in case you already have one and offer you with a schematic of the literature related with your topic so that we can identify relevant gaps in the literature. After doing that, we will consider your objectives and consider through pertinent questions for your research. * You are writing a thesis: I will first go through your research project and cross-check with you the actual results of your research. Once we have done that, we will analyse the nature and quality of your data, the span of the literature covered, chapters you might have already written, and, of course, the issues that excites you most. The idea is to identify where your strength is and what can be done do reinforce your arguments (more research, if possible; or literature review, if necessary). All this will be done with organizational support, helping you plan and schedule your writing with confidence, grace and, most importantly, no suffering!

Geography: Understanding Our Complex and Changing World
Hi, I'm Polly! I graduated with a first-class BA in Geography from the University of Oxford and I am about to start my MA at SOAS University of London. My experience includes teaching English in China for a year, over four years tutoring Geography from KS3 to undergraduate level, and teaching A-level Geography at an international school. Geography is more than just maps; it's the study of the world and how humans interact with it, making it essential for understanding our interconnected planet and the challenges we face. This class ranges from physical geography, such as Earth's features and natural processes, to human geography, including population, urban development, and cultural landscapes. Students will develop critical skills like map reading, spatial awareness, analytical thinking, and research while exploring global issues such as climate change and sustainability. By learning geography, students gain a deeper appreciation for diverse cultures and environments, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to navigate and address the complex challenges of our world. As a qualified tutor for the National Tutoring Programme, I've developed strategies to address learning gaps and support students with SEND needs. My expertise covers human and physical Geography, ensuring comprehensive support across a range of topics. I tailor my approach to each student’s needs, focusing on content mastery, exam techniques, and revision strategies, with follow-up exercises to reinforce learning and build confidence.

History for different levels from beginning to expert
Teaching history to people is a valuable endeavor for several reasons: 1. **Understanding the Present**: History helps us understand the present by revealing how societies, cultures, and institutions have developed over time. It provides context for current events and issues, allowing people to see the roots and evolution of contemporary problems and achievements. 2. **Learning from the Past**: By studying history, we can learn from past successes and mistakes. This knowledge can guide decision-making in various fields, from politics and economics to social issues and personal choices, helping to avoid repeating errors and to build on past successes. 3. **Critical Thinking Skills**: Teaching history encourages critical thinking and analytical skills. Students learn to assess sources, evaluate evidence, and understand different perspectives. These skills are crucial for informed citizenship and effective problem-solving. 4. **Cultural Awareness and Empathy**: History exposes people to diverse cultures, beliefs, and experiences, fostering empathy and cultural awareness. Understanding different historical contexts helps break down stereotypes and prejudices, promoting a more inclusive and tolerant society. 5. **Identity and Heritage**: History helps individuals and communities understand their identities and heritage. It connects people to their past, offering a sense of continuity and belonging. This understanding can inspire pride and responsibility towards preserving and contributing to one's cultural and national legacy. 6. **Informed Citizenship**: Knowledge of history is essential for active and informed citizenship. It provides insight into the development of political systems, rights, and responsibilities, empowering people to participate more effectively in civic life and contribute to democratic processes. By teaching history, you aim to equip people with these crucial skills and perspectives, enabling them to navigate the complexities of the modern world with a deeper understanding and a more informed, empathetic approach.

Philosophy for beginners, students and interested people.
My philosophy classes are generalized. I would not limit myself to a few authors, but we will study and explore themes in particular, in order to bring authors into dialogue on themes such as causality, morality, the State, etc. This will be done by first mastering the methodology of dissertation and text commentary which will be an asset for learning to reason for yourself. In short, my course will be based on a deepening of the methodologies and types of reasoning necessary to study themes (of the student's choice) and author's texts.
