What makes Yoga more effective for stress reduction than, 20 minutes on the elliptical machine at your gym? It provides a complete system of effective movement for the body. While many forms of exercise can reduce stress, therapeutic Yoga is uniquely suited because of its positive effects on the glands and nerves.
The movements, set in a sequence, directly release the tension built up over time from holding the breath and various muscles in your particular stress response pattern. Even the sweat that arises during the practice is different, because it is a result of a deep glandular experience, not just the body's response to exertion.

Your practice will release tension from the inner organs, nerves, and glands, and create an internal biochemistry of calm, inner balance, and depth of self.

About Me

I am a qualified Yoga teacher and member of International KY Teachers Association and with over 1000 hours of teaching experience.
Originally from Germany, I call Sri Lanka my home at present. I experienced first hand how the therapeutic effects of Yoga are a path for anyone who is looking for valuable tools to successfully cope with the everyday grind and still live a healthy, happy and wholistic life. After a career in the banking sector, I became, a Level One Certified Instructor, specialized in teaching tools for regaining mental balance after trauma. In addition, I teach Reiki and work with sound healing since 1995. The yoga classes are deeply transformative, use sound effects to support your journey, and offer a safe and supportive space to transform your stress into calm and vitality to connect to all that you are—your highest and best vision & version of self.
