Psychological Counseling & Art-therapy to help you cope with life difficulties

I'm an art-therapist and offer sessions which can help you better understand yourself through Art (it might be either creating a drawing, collage, clay sculpture or using well-known pieces of Art and using them as a starting point in the session).

How session is organized?

We start with a small talk about your request or problem area that worries you and then I offer to represent artistically the key point of your problem or question. I know a huge variety of techniques as well I have over 500 hours of practice only in art-therapy. Mind that sometimes you need more than 1 session to work out the problem.

As a professional I have my personal art-therapeutic sessions, regular intervisions with colleagues and supervisions with my supervisor (she is from the UK).

You don't need to be a professional artist to try Art-therapy. It's a creative process of getting to unconscious levels of your Self. If you have artistic skills, therapy can help find your way and route in your field as well as better understand yourself as an Artist.

When I say that I'm an art-therapist I mean that I use a variety of tools from different expressive Arts such as bibliotherapy (reading books), museum therapy, music therapy, etc.

I give homework which is optional but highly recommended and it can help you feel closer with your emotions and bring inner peace and balance.

I have a Dergree in Psychological Counseling and Clinical Psychology. Have private practice and plan to relocate to Europe. As part of my plan I want to become a member of European Federation of Art-therapy (EFAT). Currently I'm a foreign member of American Art-therapy Association (AATA)

Feel free to contact me as I work as a clinical psychologist with cases of anxiety, depression or personal disorders. As a professional I don't state any mental diagnose or prescribe medicine but I do work as a supporting specialist with people who have mental disorders using integrative approach: CBT, existential psychology, buddhist psychology and art-therapy.

Extra information

As we meet online, you need to have any artistic tools such as paper, pencils, crayons, watercolor or acrylic paints, etc. If not - it's not a problem as we can use any objects around you. Creativity is part of the healing process.
Tablet will work as well in case you know how to use artistic brushes. However, it's not the key point of art-therapy - we rely on something created by hands.
It's good if you have a sketchbook for making notes, writing thoughts and keeping records.

About Me

Hi everyone,
I'm Maria and want to offer you exciting and lively classes of learning English as a foreign language.
I have a Degree in Linguistics as well as CELTA - Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (that means that I am a certified Teacher of English to those for who this language isn't their mother tongue).

In the recent years I tend to have a lot of students who aim to prepare for exams such as IELTS and FCE, who pass and go abroad for multiple reasons - migration, work and study.

I love teaching. Communication with people from around the world is a perfect opportunity for personal and human development. In my work I mainly use Cambridge books for learning English as I have strong methodological basis and can apply different approaches depending on your aim, deadlines and preferences.
