We go through the workings of the attention mechanism, a neurological process explained in an easy way. Afterwards we look at Creativity itself and how those processes of "attention" or "focus" contribute to creativity. We look at the problems as well as solutions. Exercises and Homework are an option. The course can be extended into Visual literacy, Storytelling and philosophy of the Image.

While teaching Visual Arts in the Netherlands, Maksims Kačanovs started wondering how to teach creativity more effectively. His search started to combine the earlier experience and knowledge as a visual artist and new research into neurology and psychology of attention. The result is a priceless understanding of how attention translates into Creativity, Emotional Intelligence, Storytelling and Visual Literacy. Maksims Kačanovs is working with light, building cameras, teaching and researching. He has almost twenty years of experience as a photographer and has started teaching photography in 2005.
