The course is designed to be accessible, supportive, and grounded in curiosity rather than perfectionism. You can work with any camera you have access to, including smartphones. Ideal for artists, students, and anyone interested in using photography to explore the world around them with more clarity and intention. I bring over 10 years photographic experience to the table, with both a BA (HONS) from UAL and MA degree in photography from the Royal College of Art. I am also happy to help with art school applications and crafting artist statements, regardless of artistic medium. I am particularly interested in engaging with people who work with writing and prose in their practice, or who are looking/seeking to incorporate this into their photography projects.

I can also teach via webcam, but I do recommend my in-person classes, seeing as they're more immersive and educational. I unfortunately do not speak Dutch (yet), but am confident we can overcome any potential language barrier we come across. This course is aimed at those wishing to improve or discover the disciplines of traditional and/or digital drawing. I have a bachelor's degree in computer graphics, animation and illustration since 2019. I teach drawing in general and the use of the Adobe suite (including Illustrator and Photoshop, the most popular digital drawing software). My name's Sean, and I am a freelance illustrator with over 10 years experience working in print, animation and video games My lessons focus on introducing the principles behind digital artwork, understanding the software and equipment needed for digital artwork and developing the practical drawing skills needed to start creating. My goal is to empower you with the skills to start your digital art journey, demystify the various tools available in drawing applications and tailor advice specific to the kinds of artworks you want to create.

Would you like to be able to illustrate the worlds and stories you imagine? Do you want to learn how to create characters for a video game, animation, children's story, comic or in any format? Or would you like to be able to draw your favorite characters? If you have those concerns, I would love to help you. I like to focus the classes in such a way that the current drawing level of the student is not what is important. The room for improvement will always evolve. I like to take my classes towards character design, towards general things like the psychology of color and shapes, since they are assimilable and highly useful concepts, independent of the level of drawing. For this reason, my classes are aimed at all ages and drawing levels. I also try to focus them on the preferences and tastes of each student, showing them that everything they like, they like for a reason, that nothing is left to chance and that they can also understand how to make their drawings reflect what they want to convey. Even to create your portfolios or visual information for your own project or story. I give private classes with students from different parts of the world, so many of my classes I have been able to do in both English and French. I studied 2D animation in France, and thanks to this training, my work has been nourished by dynamism, storytelling, expressiveness, typical of this medium, as well as the sensitivity for color and shapes that I usually use to infuse a unique style both to my original designs as well as my fanarts.

I will teach you how to create the book itself, meaning you never have to be hindered by not having a place to start. Then, we'll explore a variety of ways to make your mark on each page, building your knowledge and understanding of the visual elements. Lessons are one hour and online. Any age and experience is welcome. I am a qualified art & design teacher for secondary age students in Scotland, and a first class graduate (with honours) from The University of Edinburgh Fine Art programme.
