MENTORING IN ARTS : Discover how to say something through your artistic work.
I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

Mariana
Creative Illustration and the Fundamentals of Drawing
I'll be teaching you the subjects I can see you have most difficulty with - be it figure drawing, perspective, concept art or even going back to fundamentals as a reminder. I do both traditional and digital art, so I can also teach you how to move from one media to another without fear! Before our first lesson - Do you have time for homework? - Do you prefer a more objective explanation as opposed to a more detailed one? - Do you prefer learning all the theory first and then practicing later all at once, or to take it in small chunks? - How experienced are you in art? - Do you prefer a more casual class or one that challenges you every time? Just a tiny PSA - if you're starting out from the very beginning with the fundamentals, please bear with me for a couple of classes because it will probably be super boring at first! I'll try to make it as entertaining as possible, but I'm (painfully) aware of how dull the more technical subjects can be. I PROMISE it will get better. Pinky promise.

Art for Everybody: A4E - Nurture your curiosity
Hello, hi :) I'm Mia, your future private art tutor if you're interested! I'm a visual artist working across different mediums, from more classical forms like drawing and painting to multimedia practices such as video and performance. I graduated from a high school of art and design in France, continued my studies at the School of Fine Arts in Geneva HEAD, and I'm currently finishing a specialization in choreography at the Academy of Theatre and Dance in Amsterdam. I'm offering a series of personalized art classes that can focus on various mediums, whether you're looking to explore new artistic tools, prepare for entrance exams to art schools, or simply nurture your curiosity. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Here are three class options to start with: Sketching and Drawing Learn the basics of observational drawing and graphic composition. We can focus on a specific subject or go on walks to observe and draw what we see in our surroundings. Video An introduction to video basics and editing software. We’ll explore how to use cameras in a raw, intuitive way and understand the logic behind lighting and other technical tools. Art School Preparation Guidance in building a portfolio, formatting and laying out documents, and exploring different printing techniques. Ideal for those preparing to apply to art schools or looking to expand their artistic practice. Feel free to reach out with questions or specific interests. I'm happy to adapt the classes to your needs.

Online Resin and Texture Art classes. From beginner to Pro approach.
I am an experienced texture art tutor, specializing in resin, acrylic colors, acrylic paste, and white cement techniques. Over the years, I have successfully trained students of different skill levels, helping them refine their artistic abilities and develop their unique styles. My work has been well-received in the art community, and I have conducted numerous workshops focused on creative expression through texture and resin art. My approach is interactive and hands-on, ensuring that students get a practical learning experience rather than just theoretical knowledge. I believe in personalized guidance, where each student’s artistic journey is nurtured. Whether in 1-on-1 sessions or group classes, I encourage active participation, providing clear demonstrations and detailed feedback to help students master resin and texture art techniques with confidence. I conduct online classes via Zoom or other platforms, ensuring a highly interactive and engaging learning experience. My teaching style focuses on two-way communication, where students can freely ask questions and receive real-time feedback. Depending on students' preferences and time zones, I offer both 1-on-1 and group sessions to cater to different learning needs. While resin and texture art are open to all learners, I recommend my classes for adults aged 18+ due to the use of chemicals and materials that may not be suitable for children.

Idris
Painting Tutor: Discover and develop your artistic language
I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London. Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you! Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs. The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language. (Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.) Have questions? Don’t hesitate to message me! I can tailor a class to your needs :)
