Violin and Music Theory lessons from a qualified, native English speaking teacher

I have been teaching violin to beginners and advanced players of all ages for more than 10 years. In addition to posture, intonation and technique, the focus of the lessons is also particularly on the development of musical personality as well as musical expression, dynamics and agogics. Musically everything is possible: Of course I teach the classical and technical standards and violin concertos / works, but there are no limits here. I myself perform around the world with classical, classical pop, jazz, pop, rock, film music as well as current charts, house and dubstep and also give pure improvisation lessons. In addition to the violin basics, the style of personal taste is fine-tuned according to the student's wishes and goals. This class has the purpose of teaching how to play and enjoy different kind of drums, not only the drums set, but others like Congas, Bongos, Djembe, maracas, Güiro, etc. It’s a nice exploration across different cultures and music styles to discover how to use them creatively in different music genres and if you are interested there’s the possibility to learn how to record them.

I propose saxophone lessons for all ages, all levels, and in all styles. I have been running private lessons for 6 years, as well as giving workshops and master classes in colleges and universities (Italy, France, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Japan). During a lesson I encourage the student to work on: posture, breathing and the position of the mouth (embouchure), helping the projection of sound; the development of the tone; i teach the student how to phrase and play a beautiful melody; techniques of improvisation; understanding harmony; having confidence in his/her playing skills; techniques of listening and interacting with the rhythm section; learning new songs and experiencing different styles of music; Introductions to key saxophonists. Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music. **Class suggestions and indications** No experience is needed just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music. With this course I offer music theory, transverse and recorder classes for all levels, from the youngest to the oldest. The course can be adapted to each student and their preferences when it comes to learning. From getting to know the history of music a little better, learning to read sheet music, learning more about harmony, analyzing compositions or learning a new instrument. These are some of the options but I am always open to students and their preferences.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The theory of everything tends to be really scary and music theory can be too. I am very keen to make music theory easy for everyone. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages. Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. Certain aspects can also lead to additional practical skills such as improvisation which can be very useful as well as very enjoyable.
