I study the horn at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and I offer music theory/musical training lessons for all ages from 7 years old, for levels ranging from beginner to first year of conservatory. I am now a psychology student at UGent, and I also play the cello.

The Contrabass is a marvelous instrument: powerful, subtle, demanding, astonishing. Graduated from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris in Jazz specialty and teacher (private individual / replacement in conservatory) for 4 years, I suggest you dive into the heart of his universe. My horizons: -The jazz double bass (walking bass, improvisation, sounds, repertoire, rhythm, theory ..) - the "general" technique (body position, right hand, left hand, flexibility, etc.) -the classical double bass (sound of the bow, phrasing, study of pieces ...) - "contrabassistic" culture (operation of the instrument, the undisputed masters, the repertoire in the broad sense ...) I am also an electric bass player (another wonderful instrument) graduated from the Marne and Chantereine conservatories. My method remains the same and I love to teach (and constantly learn) the greatest number of styles, repertoire, ranging from Rock to Funk through Pop, hip hop and Cuban music. I use techniques that are quite simple to learn but which are very effective. The course is always done in kindness and good humor. As with everything, you have to work to hope to achieve results. My role is to enable you to speed up the process significantly through specific methods. The typical lesson takes place as follows: First, we start to analyze the score you are going to play (key, rhythm,...) Then, we begin to play the right hand alone (often the main melody) at a fairly slow pace. Finally we tackle the left hand alone (often the accompaniment that covers the piece) at a fairly slow pace as well. Once the 2 hands are perfectly mastered separately, it's time to assemble. Always at a fairly slow speed at the beginning and we accelerate as we go. I am a calm teacher, I have been in your shoes and I know the difficulty of each step, which makes me an understanding teacher as well. I am also very educational, I do animation in life as a nutons chef (children from 5 to 8 years old).
