ENGLISH-SPEAKING PIANO TUTOR I teach adults of all levels! I often mentor people who are just starting out, helping them develop their interest in the instrument and play the music they love. A lot of students come in with anxiety about how good or fast they're going to be able to learn. I work to build a respectful, supportive environment where you feel comfortable developing and learning at your own pace. For intermediate and advanced students, I teach with a particular focus on fundamental technique through études, and developing musicality. Oftentimes, as hobbyists, we have holes from our early studies that prevent us from developing later in life. My aim is to help correct that. You should leave with renewed confidence to tackle pieces that have intimidated or eluded you in the past. I hope to teach you soon!

I am a composer, pianist, teacher, and researcher based in Berlin. I hold a Bachelor's degree in jazz piano from the Conservatory of Vicenza, Italy, a Master's, and a PhD in composition from the University of Leeds, UK. In 2011, I attained a scholarship as promising student of the Conservatory of Vicenza. From 2006 to 2009 I was volunteer at a special needs-school, using music as a form of therapy. From 2013 to 2015 I studied Piano at the Conservatory ‘Prince Claus’ in Groningen, The Netherlands where I worked mostly as a performer. In 2019 my CD ‘Breaths’ was released by British label Another Timbre. My pieces have been broadcasted by Keith F’eM, Concertzender Radio, and Radio 3 and my scores have been published in IM–OS Improvised Music-Open Scores and THE MASS. I've been teaching piano, music theory, improvisation, and composition for 12 years now. When teaching I always attempt to organise targeted lessons that cover varying musical aspects depending on the students' skills and preferences. I teach either online or at the students' home., Charlottenburg-Berlin. I also offer engraving and arranging services.

Hello there, I am a professional composer living in Berlin Mitte. I hold a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Composition from the conservatory of Utrecht in the Netherlands. I write for orchestras, ensembles and theater and I have had commissions from the Athens State Orchestra, the International Ensemble Modern Academy and the Gaudeamus Festival among others. I use a 'learning by creating' method, where we focus and go deeper on certain aspects depending on your needs on your music creation process. I like to use personalised methods that matches your desires, rather than following a certain curriculum. The goal is to help you gain or improve awareness on how a piece of music is written and learn various ways to begin and finalise a writing process. Music theory is very important for anyone looking to learn an instrument! It helps broaden an understanding of the instrument and will also help you progress faster! If you are looking to do ABRSM instrumental exams, you will need to pass grade 5 music theory in order to progress to grade 6 in your instrumental exams, therefore I will be able to guide you to passing your grade 5 theory paper and beyond. This class is designed for GCSE and A-Level music students eager to develop their composition skills in line with exam requirements. With a focus on originality and creativity, we will explore compositional techniques, musical structures, and stylistic understanding across a variety of genres. Each session will offer practical exercises and guided tasks tailored to exam criteria, encouraging students to build confidence and express their unique musical voice. Through regular feedback, constructive discussions, and assignment of relevant exercises between lessons, students will gain a deeper understanding of music theory, harmony, and instrumentation to enhance their compositions. My goal is to challenge students to think independently and to prepare them thoroughly for the composition components of their music exams, all within a supportive and engaging online environment.

At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. I will give all my best so everybody will get the tools for developing their own voice, helping them to master the instrument and teaching them all the theoretical knowledge they’ll need to make their particular personality shine. And if the students wish, I can help them to prepare for the ABRSM exams and competitions as well. All this is aiming to achieve in a very practical and exciting experience the best results in the fastest way possible. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician. I have been teaching uninterruptedly for more than 10 years and I would like to explain to you what you can find in a class with me: - To begin, the most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I would like to focus the classes according to what you need or want, from learning for pure pleasure from scratch to preparing for entrance tests or focusing professionally. The needs of each student may vary the methodology, the way of organizing the study sessions, etc. - Once we know what we want to achieve and by when, classes will begin in a relaxed atmosphere. Important! Relaxed does not equal lax! only that we will try to resort to dynamic and as practical methods as possible, especially given my character and sense of humor ;). - Something important to highlight is that I always place special emphasis on the development of hearing, musicality and the analysis of your references. Above all so that you can then make your own aesthetic decisions and feel like owner of your music. - Last but not least, my tendency will be to give equal importance to different music. We will adapt to your tastes and needs, but here there is no room to say which music is better or worse. Each one will help us work on different aspects of the music and, if we don't know something, we will analyze it side by side until we unravel all its mysteries.
