Hello! Being a singer and a singing teacher, many many times I have found myself in the situation of having to work on ear training, or solfège, or music theory... or all the above listed! Approaching music and having no clue of these elements can totally be intimidating and off-putting, but in 2023 I feel like it’s a pity that these subject still are looked at with such a fear. I want to prove to you that building these basic knowledge can be easy, accessible and not heavy at all! My program is not fixed: I’ll build it on your specific needs, wether they are preparing an exam, curiosity, getting better at pitch matching... we will discuss together. I have many books and material, and I honestly prefer to draw blackboards by myself a lot of times. Unless you will want to, I won’t ask you to buy any material, so the only cost that you will have to sustain, is for the time of the class.

I was born in the Czech Republic, where I also studied at the Conservatory of Prague. My main field is composition and that is why my teaching method is different from the other teachers who studied piano. In 2016, I founded a school called the Lastwin School of Liberal Arts. Under this shield, I taught with my wife in our apartment. We were intrigued by how many parents enrolled their children for lessons. Even the parents themselves wanted to try the lessons. The method I use liked the headmistress of the Montessori school called Edison, where I taught piano and music lessons. I was wondering why, they do not use services like state music schools, which are significantly cheaper. The answer was very simple. Such institutions have clear textbooks, clear curricula, and everyone must follow this. But I am very sure, that this is not Art. I am for Liberal Art. And I want to be one of the other teachers who understand individuality and try to subordinate as much as possible to the student. For my inspiration, I take a tree that becomes a tool for every case when something is unclear to students. Hello! My name is George and I'm a fourth year student in jazz guitar at the Codarts conservatory here in Rotterdam, though my guitar journey began at the age of nine. I have been teaching a variety of students of different ages and backgrounds for the passed two years. My aim as a teacher is not to overwhelm students with theory and sight-reading.
