I am familiar with different styles for both harp and piano, from classical music (baroque, impressionism, classicism, romanticism and contemporary music), to folk music, jazz standards, pop songs or minimalist music. I can help you! I've been playing the piano for about 15 years now after my Pop & Jazz education, and I've done quite a few performances in all kinds of genres. In addition, I also obtained a degree in Electronic Music Production at Point Blank Music School, and I am currently active as a keyboard player and producer. I mainly play pop music, but we can certainly look at other genres as well. For piano lessons I recommend 30 minutes so that we can cover new topics each lesson that you can then practice at home. For Ableton Live, 60 minutes is more suitable if you want to get the hang of it quickly, but you can certainly learn it in 30 minutes per lesson. Interested? I am a student teacher of music education and project art subjects. I myself graduated in solfège and took piano lessons for 3 years. After 3 years of taking lessons at the academy, I continued to learn to play the piano. Teaching and music are my passion. When I teach I try to do it in the most fun and fastest way. I want to see my students evolve as quickly as possible. The lessons I give always start from practice, as this is the easiest way to process the theory. I always make the lessons myself and make them at the level of my students. Every now and then I work with a book, but I certainly don't rely on it. The first lesson will be an introductory lesson, in which I will look at what you can already do, what you expect from the lessons and what exactly you want to learn. Then we will start at a good pace. I prefer to teach at home. Lessons cannot take place at my home. I have the most experience with people who have little or no experience. I also prefer this because it allows me to teach directly in my own way. Age doesn't matter to me. You are never too old for music! I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

I am a classical pianist, holding two Master's degrees from the Royal Academy of Music - Postgraduate Certificate in Performance (UK, London, 2015), and Guildhall School of Music and Drama - Master of Performance, advanced instrumental studies: Piano (UK, London, 2019). During studies, I took part in masterclasses with world-renowned teachers and pianists, including Ian Fountain, Colin Stone, and Simon Trpceski. I did solo recitals in Russia, Switzerland, and the UK. I also won the internal piano competition Romantic Piano Prize, which was held at Guildhall School of Music.
