Our private lessons are usually divided in this order: 1. mental and physical check in + grounding in your instrument (which is your body) and stretching, shaking loose etc. I teach you how to stretch your tongue and why it is important. 2. Breathing! I will teach you how to breathe to your diaphragm. I will teach you how to create a breath support by breathing. This ensures that you will need much less breath and can produce much more sound! This can work wonders and I want you to experience and feel that. 3. Warming up the voice. We are going to make sounds! First we are going to wake up your voice. I will let you feel the difference between your chest voice and your head voice (and everything in between). I will teach you how to make sounds safely, sing safely without damaging your voice. I will teach you how to sing higher and lower. When I see that your muscles tense while singing, I will give you techniques to relax them. We are going to make many different sounds with a piano as accompaniment. I will explain to you why we make each sound and what this does to our voice. 4. Singing a song. You can choose a song that you like to sing. We can also choose this together.
