Hello, I am a native Spanish speaker and a graduate student in Biochemistry at the University of Seville (Southern Spain). I finished my degree two and a half years ago and since then I have been teaching science classes (Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics) to students between 13 and 19 years old. During this time, I have worked in different private schools but also as a private teacher. I have a great passion for teaching and have been working in a language school in Dublin 4 since September 2019. Depending on grade that the student is aiming for/predicted I will: ●spend the first lesson with students going through their exam board syllabus, make it explicit what content is the core of the course content and structure lessons in descending importance ● (for higher level students) spend the first lesson with students going through their exam board syllabus, identify the weakest links and structure lessons in ascending order of skill I believe in spaced repetition so revisiting topics taught before is a must! This will manifest in the form of: ●surprise questions during the first 10 minutes of lessons ●helping prepare and working through past papers when it comes closer to exam time to encourage active recall.
