Understand the philosophy

The methodology of the Baccalaureate exercises are just as important as the course itself. Knowing your lesson is useless if the student does not know how to explain his thoughts and organize his thoughts on a copy. It is necessary to learn to apply a strict and rigorous methodology in order to allow the study to develop a mature, complete and precise reflection. This is why this course combines the development of methodological and writing skills and the revision of the main concepts and main chapters of philosophy and history-geography for the baccalaureate.

As a student at Sciences Po Lille, my multidisciplinary training allows me to teach in these three areas. I will accompany you to facilitate the reading of great authors but I will also use modern and fun media (videos, powerpoint ...) to make you want to progress in these subjects. For English more specifically, I will organize a lot of oral activities to help you improve your pronunciation. I will also suggest preparations for your exams as well as corrections of topics given in class. These courses are intended for middle and high school students, or adults who want to fill their gaps. According to everyone's needs, I will focus on grammar, vocabulary, methodology ... And I will ensure that this moment is synonymous with serious but also pleasant in a good atmosphere. I have taken a few years off to complete my PhD in History and I would not like to stop teaching and learning in the meantime. I guess it is a cliché, but it is amazing what I have learned by teaching. If anything can distinguish me, it is that my personal experience has shown me that, when it comes to learning, complexities such as age are simply that. This course is primarily an introduction to philosophy, ideal for beginners. We will approach the main currents, from Antiquity to the Modern Age. For those who then want to go further, I offer more in-depth courses in the following disciplines: general epistemology, anthropology, philosophy of science, philosophy of nature, moral philosophy, aesthetics, metaphysics. I mainly teach math lessons from middle school to high school. Before starting the lessons, I need to get in touch with the student to know their level, the areas where they want to improve and their objectives. Depending on the level, I adapt the work seen in class to the different points of improvement and suggest exercises consistent with what the student is stuck on. At the same time, I go over point by point the elements that were not for the student (in the Ds and the questions) I rework the exercises seen in class. Finally, and this is the most important, I advise the student on his working methods, with what state of mind to approach the exercises. I can also provide homework help in subjects other than mathematics: I got 17 in the HEC philosophy exams and I didn't get below 18 in subjects such as SES, Philosophy and history in the BAC. I recommend at least one math lesson per week in order to take stock of the week; it is regularity that allows progress. As a Tutor at EDHEC I already have experience of courses with high schools. I am a calm, composed and educational person. In terms of math, I got 18 in my math baccalaureate and then I went to a HEC preparatory class at Louis-Le-Grand in advanced math where I had more than 12 hours of math per week.

These include Religious studies, ethics, philosophy, politics, english (literature at a-level, lit and lang gcse).
