History and Geography: The Keys to Understanding Our World!

The review classes for ESO students are intended to help students make the most of their learning stage, offering support in those subjects in which they have the most difficulties, resolving doubts and explaining the syllabus. Academic support outside of school will improve results and have good preparation for the next educational stage. Review classes are taught in: Spanish Language, History, Mathematics, Biology, English, Catalan Language, French, Philosophy, Statistics and Economics at the ESO level.

Would you like to learn more about History, or do you have a particular interest in Ancient History, Art History or any other aspect of the Ancient World? If the answer is yes, I am here to teach you and take you on a trip to past historical periods, learning the keys of each culture, and enjoying learning about ancient empires, wars, society and the diversity of people that shaped the world in which we live today. I am Rubén, a recent PhD in Archaeology by the University of Leicester with extensive experience teaching in academia for the last 6 years. I have also taught Spanish to foreign students at from primary and secondary levels and higher education. I have taught American and UK students over the last seven years, whilst pursuing my studies in Spain and in the United Kingdom. I was recently awarded my PhD, through which I developed methodological aspects of teaching different types of public from different backgrounds. My experience to communicate to different types of audiences have been enhanced through my work as a contributing writer for the National Geographic History Magazine. In these classes you will be able to learn, depending on your choices...: - To recognise the main artworks of the Art world History. - To wander through the art of the Ancient World. - To identify the key aspects of historical periods. - To identify the main artworks and understand the sociocultural contexts of production. - To carry out iconographical analysis of specific artworks. - The Archaeology of Greece and Rome. The variety of topics and subjects we can cover will vary depending on the interest of the student. From general Art History lessons to very specific ones, such as the Art of the Roman World and the Provinces, or different tours through Pompeii, Herculaneum and other legendary cities of the Ancient World such as Rome, Athens, and many more. Let me introduce myself, I am Marine, a final year Master's student in History, I am currently on a university exchange in Madrid for the year. I have a Bachelor's degree in History from the Sorbonne in France, I gave tutoring classes all my last year at my university for Bachelor's students. The classes are adapted to the curricular content corresponding to the school year. Since last year the curriculum is mainly oriented towards competencies, so the classes will focus on this aspect of teaching. As a methodology I use teaching-learning strategies in which I give priority to the understanding of the content, for which schemes, summaries, mental maps are used and the use of ICT (information and communication technologies) is generalized.

I offer classes on History, Geography, and Political Science, with over 11 years' of experience in these subjects, both professionally and academically. Geography provides basics in understanding different subjects and I teach Geography using maps which I believe is useful in getting familiar with different areas in the world. This subject will confuse you if you don't understand the basics, but you will enjoy the subject if it is taught in a right way.

Learn the methodology in dissertation and document analysis from middle school as well as high school. This is what is present in History Geography and in the HGGSP specialty, and I offer courses aimed, in addition to helping the learning of courses in these subjects, to put it into practice in an exercise with a built methodology. It is this methodology that I teach, in order to provide the student with independence.
