Transverse Flute Teacher – Personalized Lessons I am a flutist with training at a higher conservatory and experience teaching children and young people at both elementary and professional levels. I offer personalized classes to help you improve your technique, music reading, expression, and confidence with the conservatory or music school repertoire. My goal is for the student to progress with confidence and enjoy learning. I work with adapted materials, extra support outside of class (videos, exercises), and a clear and motivating methodology. Violin is a classical instrument but you can play everything on the violin :) if you want to learn to play the violin or improve your level, let me know! First, we will learn to hold the violin and bow, then we will learn to play notes one by one, and then we will learn to combine individual notes into a melody. For this we will need to study the rhythm. But it is no more difficult than arithmetic. We will play music from different composers, different styles and different eras. Believe me, this develops the brain tremendously.

A little more about me: My name is Suely and I obtained my Bachelor's degree in music at the Amsterdam Conservatory where I was able to develop an international vision of music, both as a performer and teacher. After several years living in different countries and participating in international orchestras and festivals, such as the Civic Orchestra of Chicago or the Lucerne Music Festival Academy, I returned to Madrid where I completed my master's degree in solo performance and where I combine my professional career as a violinist, both in orchestras and chamber music, with my other great passion: teaching. I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instil a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music, while also working with British pop producers online and making content for a YouTube channel. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else.
