Classical Guitar Lessons, Music Theory and Harmony

This class is meant for students of different age groups and playing levels. From absolute beginners to more advanced players. The approach is individual and we will discuss the desired goals in advance and build the learning process around those. Some topics that are usually covered are rhythm guitar, being able to comp yourself while singing (in different styles and techniques), lead guitar, improvisation (from basics to advanced), general knowledge of the fretboard and technique.

In this class You would be able to get a new or refresh Your already existing knowledge about the guitar playing and music in general. My main goal is focus on Your (as a student) musical development - make Your long and short term goals and based on that reach the target. Develop Your harmonical, melodical and rhythmical senses, as well introduce You with beauty of improvisation in jazz, blues and pop music.

I'm a passionate Portuguese classical guitarist currently pursuing my Bachelor's Degree at the Conservatorium Maastricht in the Netherlands, studying under the esteemed guidance of Carlo Marchione. I am a classical guitarist from Greece doing my second Bachelors in classical guitar performance in Conservatorium Maastricht under Carlo Marchione's class I finished my first bachelor's in Music in Apolonion Conservatory in Athens, Greece. My teaching methodology is focused on adapting to the student's needs and motivations, while passing on my knowledge to help the student to develop musical independence and create a personal connection with music. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else.
