Hello All ! My name is Mario. I am a pianist, composer, producer based in Bruxelles . I have a long experience as a Jazz pianist, keyboardist and arranger and I played in a lot of different bands . In the last ten years I spent a lot of time producing electronic music and I developed my solo and other projects as a mix of jazz, electronic and neoclassical music. I have a master degree in Live Electronics took a the Antwerp Conservatory. I decided to create this course where we can explore together the basics of music production using Ableton Live suite as a reference software. Music Production is a vast subject, it’s okay to be overwhelmed. My aim will be to help you figure out your path within it, and how you can become confident in what you do. With me, you’ll learn everything from getting great sounding audio, synthesis and mix techniques. If there is a subject you want to explore in depth, then we can do that too! The ball is always in your court. Okay my class title may be a little misleading, however, lots can be covered in these sessions. An understanding of what are the goals and interests of student, as well as their skills is the most effective way to pass on knowledge.

I can set you up to make your own tapes which play back perfectly, going through the basics of deck maintenance, speed calibration, belt changing, head alignment etc. Conversely if you want to make a mixtape but you’re lacking the equipment, reach out for one session and I can do it on your behalf! Trained at the Music Academy International, I propose private lessons of Guitar, Singing, and/or Audio Production centered on amplified music (funk, soul, jazz, rock, blues, etc.) and adapted to the requests of each student. My classes are open to all, children and adults, beginners or advanced. I attach great importance to the understanding of the technical tools implemented in the interpretation of the pieces, a typical lesson is therefore divided between technical work with clear explanations and actual practice on songs to play or sing. If the student is interested, I also teach the more theoretical aspects of music, such as harmony (scales, chords, modes, improvisation), music theory, rhythm, ear training, and deciphering. I also offer coaching sessions. These are non-regular sessions to target work on specific aspects of the requested repertoire. Each lesson is accompanied by work material (paper or audio) to practice at home. For guitar lessons, an instrument can be made available, for singing lessons, I accompany the student on the piano or the guitar (it is also possible to use backing tracks when the key and tempo are right ) and for audio production, I can provide the software required to start on any operating system (Win, Mac, and Linux) (I don't work with pirated software).
