Piano Classes - Theory and Solfeggio - All levels

One of the most wonderfull string instrument is the cello. If you want to learn how to play cello or just to continue improving your skills do not hesitate to contact me. I have a lot of experience teaching cello and for me, the most important thing in my lessons is learn well and enjoy. Ussually, my lesson programme is start with a short warm up (technique exercises) to continue with different cello pieces chosen by the students. I have a lot of pop and actual music cello pieces for all levels. In addition, I'm familiar with methods like ABRSM, Suzuki, Feuillard, Duport, Popper and Piatti.

CLASSES IN SPANISH, CATALAN, FRANÇAIS, DEUTSCH, ENGLISH I offer singing, piano, music awareness/introduction and solfeggio classes. I live in Madrid and I am a student of a Higher Degree in Singing (Jazz and Modern Music). I dedicate a good part of my time to teaching (musical and linguistic) in the format of private classes online or at home. I started giving private classes at home to children when I lived in Germany. During the 22-23 academic year I gave piano classes to students of all ages at the RedMusik Music School (Igualada, Catalonia). I studied the piano and other instruments for more than 15 years at the UGDA and at the Luxembourg City Conservatory of Music. After many years of music theory and piano I obtained the „Première Mention“ certificate from the Conservatory, with the qualification "Très Bien". A good music class should include not only reading scores, but also theoretical and harmonic study, improvisation, recreational play with the instrument, listening and rhythmic exercises. I am interested in designing the class in a creative way and adapted to the needs and desires of the student. I hope to transmit encouragement, joy and curiosity about the study of music! In this course you will learn to understand your body through music. To play piano we need more than our fingers, you will learn to feel your body, the relaxation that passes through it and the necessary movements you must make to be able to properly play the piano. You will also learn a lot about each era, starting from the Baroque to today. You will be able to see how each era is unique and the way of seeing and feeling music in each of them. You will learn many ways to study, so that you can continue at home alone with the certainty of doing well. We will learn together, because I am convinced that teaching is a way of learning too.

Music classes are taught either for theoretical preparation, solfeggio reinforcement, intonation, or any branch that includes music, such as harmony, history, etc. For any student, be it low or high level. They are taught both in person and online.

The class will be taught in English and you can choose classic or pop music. I will be happy to teach you from beginner and I can teach you what you want to learn! From classic song from Beethoven to songs like Queen! Back in my home country, I was a piano teacher with 4 years experience and my student was children to senior! Hello, my name is Alexandra. I like to plan both the methodology and the activities of the classes according to: 1. The student's interest, the objectives he or she seeks and 2. Your profile (temperament, personality, individuality), since not all people learn in the same way. These two points are very important to me, so that the class experience is something dynamic (whether it is a child, a teenager, an adult or a group). The place of the class, a time in which we learn by having fun and enjoying the process of learning.

To learn an instrument from scratch you must know the basics of music (musical notes, scales, treble clef, bass clef...etc). If you already have this knowledge, great. If you don't, great too, I'm here to teach you. After knowing this basics, we will be ready to use the keyboard without being so lost, knowing what we are playing. In this way, the student can learn to improvise, to create meaningful melodies, and to make mistakes as well. In music, anything goes. The course also adapts to the student's requests. If you prefer to learn songs that you like, we can do so, but be careful: first you have to know the basics of the piano, so that it won't be difficult for you to learn your favorite song.
