Individual or collective tuition in Maths/Physics/Chemistry by an engineering student

Develop your math skills with Beginner Math! This class will take us through basic math skills useful for every level - from fractions to set theory, you will learn how to manipulate numbers and comfortably navigate formulas, applying your learning to real world situations. I have created this class to examine the rules of math, and you will gain a deep understanding of the purpose of math, as well as a slow and steady pace to take you at a comfortable speed. All you need is an attitude and a calculator!

I am a student at UCL in Bachelor Mathematics with Economics. Very mathematical, organized and a teacher, I seek to support students in mathematics or homework help and to help them benefit from my organizational methods, tips and others, in order to progress! I am a former student of Saint Louis de Gonzague, having obtained the Congratulations of the Jury in the General Baccalaureate with the specialties Mathematics, Expert Mathematics and SES.

Maths and science are among the most useful topics in the world today. And yet, rather frustratingly, these topics remain rather incomprehensible for many students (with a good majority finding them extremely difficult) With my sessions I do my best to make both maths and science as engaging and enjoyable as possible. The main goal is not just to overload students with information but also to try to gain some insight into the both topics - hopefully students will come out of lessons much better at science and with an appreciation for how weird and wonderful the world truly is

I am able to teach Maths at all levels, from KS3 to A-Level. During my schooling career, I achieved 7x 9s and 2x 8s in my GCSEs, and 4 A*s in A-Levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. I have mentored students through online platforms such as Zero Gravity and co-founded a university mentoring business called PersonalPath. Here, I have taught students at an A-Level capability and helped them with their university applications, with 40% of our students receiving offers from top UK universities, including Oxbridge. As someone who understands how daunting exams can be, I am looking forward to helping students boost their mathematical capability and confidence.

I specialize in tutoring in English, Reading, Math, Writing, Grammar, and Phonics for Primary School students. My goal is to help students learn how to love school and learning. I hope to increase a student's confidence level when it comes to their academics. I will provide the "I do, We do, You do" method in order to assess your student in best understanding the given topic.

I want to create a positive and stimulating atmosphere in the tutoring environment, allowing students to feel comfortable to ask questions, express feeling lost and explore new ideas. So that students can critically engage in topics at a rate suited to them.

Lessons vary in length from 30-120 minutes depending on preference. Usually cover one or two topics per lesson to ensure a solid understanding. Ideally you should come into the lesson with an idea of topics you wish to review and preferably some questions you are currently working on. Questions can be provided. We will start by consolidating your knowledge on the topic with examples and then progress to supervised exam style questions or, if preferred, jump straight into some questions you are working on. The lessons are for all ages and can cover A-level, GCSE or anything below.

I come with a rich background in education, having two years of full-time teaching experience under my belt. Having worked in a low-income school in India, my pedagogical style can be best described as empathetic, inclusive, and learner-led. I have been a tutor for college and high school students for 3 years now, in private lessons and group tutoring. I am particularly attentive to students who lack confidence or have learning difficulties, and I am always happy to adapt to them and show them that they are capable. I have met a lot of students who were convinced they were not cut out for math, but who ultimately just needed help in clarifying their mathematical thinking, and who eventually turned to higher scientific studies. We will check together what has been learned, and move forward in the course throughout the year according to the student's needs.
