Songwriting & musicianship - Composing on an instrument

Songwriting is a great skill to have and a useful means of expression. Songwriting and musicianship involve using your instrument (guitar or keyboard usually) to create a song (lyrics and music) or piece of instrumental music if you prefer.

I will guide you through the theory in as much or as little depth as you prefer, using it merely as a tool to better learn your craft of composition. For less experienced musicians, we can use my own color music system to find and remember where notes are on the instrument.

Whether you are already an aspiring songwriter, just beginning, or thinking about embarking on the journey of learning to be a songwriter, these classes can offer you a scaffolding upon which to hang your talent. Together we can flesh out the ideas of your compositions that when realized will give you an incredible feeling of having created your own structure of beautiful sounds.

About Me

Now a qualified Teacher of Music, for much of my life I was largely a self taught singer-songwriter and guitarist / keyboardist who had won songwriting and pop personality competitions, scored music publishing deals, had my music in film, advertisement, documentaries, and played live on radio stations.
It was later that I formally studied music and developed my colour music system to support learning music whilst completing a Music Degree at Goldsmiths, graduating with 1st Class Honours.
As a music teacher in SEN schools I have witnessed the positive impact that creating music through exploring has on people with physicals and learning disabilities and have found some of the most valuable musical contributions from pupils in these settings.
I am a nurturing and encouraging teacher with a sense of humour and great patience.

Guitar lessons at your home for children and beginners
Guitarist, singer, songwriter, composer with 20 years of experience. I started to study guitar in 2002. After 6 months I started playing live music. I began to teach guitar in 2018, in London. I am specialized in beginners and children. You can choose online lessons (Skype, Zoom, FaceTime), or lessons at your home, in London. I can teach in Italian and in English. In the lessons the main lines of study are: - technique exercises to make your hands stronger; - songs suggested by me and songs that you like; - music theory. I try to communicate my passion for music, especially to the children, without forgetting to have fun. Either, if you want to become a really good guitarist or if you just want to play guitar for fun and relaxation, don’t hesitate to contact me. I thrive on seeing my students grow and develop as they discover what they can achieve.

Fausto
Sicilian Guitarist offers lessons in Classical guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar. I also give Italian language lessons
Hi, I am Fausto. I am an Italian musician, trained in the classical guitar. I have been studying guitar since the age of fifteen at the conservatory in Sicily. I finished my degree at the BENEDETTO MARCELLO conservatory in Venice. I compose my own music in the classical style with the guitar. Within the genre of classical music I play, for example, Bach and Giuliani. As an electrical guitarist, I am used to playing with the fender sound, blues, and jazz. I offer lessons for people who would like a start in the guitar world. I enjoy teaching all ages and I am open to see what and how you would like to learn. We can learn the technical way or be more open with playing. For example with children, I am used to teaching with the book from the composer Sagreras. However, I am open if you'd like to improve in some song which you love!;) The music is my life, playing and learning new things is always what I'm looking up. I like teaching because having the possibility to give something really amazing to someone makes me happy and more real with myself. If someone loves playing and needs help, it would be amazing to be as helpful as people have been with me If you need some Italian lessons I am also Italian and I can offer Italian teaching as well. If You need some lessons you can count on me for conversation or grammatically lessons.

Daniel
Music/Audio Production & Guitar Performance & Music Theory
I currently offer teaching and mentoring in the following areas: - Music/Audio Production - Guitar Performance - Music Theory My methods are generally adapted to each individual’s needs and objectives, however, they do not include classical music training approaches, such as sight reading or formal classical music training. Instead, my approach focuses on developing an intuitive understanding of music, through understanding elements such as intervalic structures, mathematical permutations, analogies derived from other disciplines etc. The ultimate goal of my approach is to allow the individual to form a way of thinking, which will allow she/he to compose, produce or play ANY type of music.

Rida
