I specialise in tutoring French and/or English for school just as well for higher education levels or different age groups. As a native speaker in both languages and as a linguaphile who took interest in learning other languages such as Spanish and Arabic, I am aware of the struggles that might come with attempting to learn a new language. For my students, I would start off by evaluating where they are at in terms of their level of speaking just as well as writing, in order to know what to work on and what they've already mastered. I would provide homework, just as well as challenges to place them in real life situations where they would have to use their skills and knowledge. (If you were to learn how to repair a bicycle, for example, you would learn bike vocab then would then be able to communicate in French by using the relevant vocabulary and conveying their feelings, ideas and thoughts.) For students wanting to learn French in a more literate approach, I propose analytic lectures of French classics, or any desired text. Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.
