In this class, we will be exploring music by learning your favorite songs from any genre you enjoy. I will personalize the lessons to your needs and make sure we cover all the fundamentals that will set you on the right track! I will teach you how to: - learn songs by ear, (pop, jazz r&b, funk, fusion, hip-hop, and whatever you like honestly) - improvise, - compose, - understand music theory (harmony, rhythm, scales, progressions, sight-reading etc.) - produce and sound design in Ableton. About me: Education: I started playing music at 7 years old, went through 12 years of music school, and then moved to Amsterdam and spent 4 years learning jazz guitar at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I frequently play with various bands ranging from Pop and Funk to Jazz Fusion and even Techno. Teaching style: I’m open-minded and straightforward, and I focus on giving my students the tools and basics they need to learn and explore on their own.

Production Music production is the process of taking a basic musical piece, such as a song, and arranging and polishing it to prepare it for release. I can teach you to arrange parts for strings, synths, or choir, or write drum, bass, guitar, or keyboard parts. I have worked with artists in folk, metal, rock, pop, jazz, RnB, hip hop, and EDM. No matter your genre, I can help you polish your songs and prepare them for release. Audio Engineering Do you want to set up your own home recording studio? To learn how to record and mix your own songs? Or are you just curious to understand more about how the recording process works in studios? I can teach all you need to know about microphones, audio interfaces, and how to record your own instruments. I can give you advice on what equipment you need to get started on setting up your own studio at home.
