Hey! Have you always wanted to learn to play the piano but aren't sure where to start? Or maybe you just want to take your piano playing to the next level? In either case, you can come to me for piano and theory lessons tailored to your needs! Are you a fan of pop/jazz music rather than classical? We can easily take care of this too! As a young student, I am often closer to the practice of teaching and can sense where the student's goals lie. Very flexible throughout the week and weekends, either at the student's home, at my grand piano, or possibly online (especially music theory).

I give piano and music theory/ music writing (composition) classes in regions Brussels and Leuven. I have studied in Italy (piano) and at Brussels Conservatoire (music writing). I like sharing my artistic knowledge and experience with motivated students of all ages and varied backgrounds. In my teaching method I try to focus on the strong points and qualities of the student in order to build up technical skills which will help the student to overcome difficulties in a simple and natural way. It is crucial for me to make the student able to express their personality in an autonomous and creative way.

Piano lessons adapted to your taste and level. You tell us what you expect from the lessons so that I can give you optimal piano lessons. For example: you want to learn to read and play piano pieces. I must also give you the relevant theory. It is your choice to study additional theory, but it is not necessary. My lessons are therefore efficiently oriented. As a student, you can ultimately choose which piano pieces we work on (it must first be approved by me), so that playing the piano remains fun and educational. I cover classical music, pop music, video games, movies, anime music, etc... so many genres! Another example: you want to make a piano cover of an existing piece (e.g. pop music or movie music). I will give you the theory of chords and reading staves. This way you can get started quickly. Together we will practice enough so that you understand everything well! We can also improvise together on your piano. Feel free to message us if you have any questions :) I have already given private lessons to adults, teenagers and children both online and in person. Both options work great! We do this online via Skype or another app if desired. Physically we do it in Leuven city centre, where there is a handy large indoor bicycle shed. Ideally I teach once a week, you then continue practicing on your piano at home towards the next lesson the following week. If you would like lessons every other week or lessons twice a week, that is also possible for me. Why choose to learn to play the piano? It has been scientifically proven that playing an instrument makes someone smarter (good brain training). You can show your piano skills to others, but you can also make yourself happy and reward through your piano. I am passionate about teaching guitar! Over the last 10 years I have been teaching students from ages 7-70 from complete beginners to advanced players with one thing in common - their wish to play guitar more comfortably and have fun while doing it! I am a classical guitarist with a background in pedagogy, psychology and physiotherapy, my approach - methodical. While working on the things you want to improve and learn I will also help you develop a deep understanding of the theory and principles that music is built upon. Our lessons will be exploratory and imaginative whilst also underpinned by technical knowledge so that you can enjoy playing comfortably and without pain. My aim is to get you to where you want to be playing guitar, whether that be for friends at New Year or on the stage at Carnegie Hall!

Would you like to learn trumpet, bugle or cornet or are you looking for more depth? I am happy to help you! I studied trumpet at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and built up a lot of pedagogical skills through my Educational Master Music and Performing Arts at LUCA School of Arts and experience as a teacher. I have worked with students of all ages, it is never too late to start (again)! The lessons can range from rather technical to musical, exploring different genres. As a teacher I am flexible, everything is tailored to the student. The goal is that you can develop yourself with pleasure on the instrument. I can also provide support with music theory. I'm a professional pianist playing piano for already 20 years. I'm the Third prize winner of the European International piano competition in Italy, and my academic studies include following: - Master in Piano Performance in Leuven, Belgium - Master in Piano Performance at the International University of Valencia, Spain -Bachelor in Piano Performance at the Higher Conservatory in Salamanca, Spain and Musikhochschule Freiburg, Germany I have given concerts in several concert halls in Spain and Germany. I would be glad to help you improve in your playing! The music styles I teach are classical music and pop music. The most important thing for me when I teach, is to make the student feel comfortable and enjoy when playing, while improving musically and technically. Since I was 4 years old, piano has taken a big place in my life and heart, because my father has taught me ever since. I am extremely excited to share my passion with interested people, whatever their age! I pay a lot of attention to the position at the piano, so that no injuries occur. I also talk a lot about musical lines and how to produce a good sound on the piano. If you have not taken solfège, I am very happy to help with that as well along with the piano study. Playing the piano is very personal for everyone, both technically and musically. That is why I think it is very important to look for the best solutions and adapt to each individual student, so that he or she can create his or her own bond with music. I am a master's student at the Brussels Royal Conservatory. I give piano lessons at my home (Kessel-lo or in Herent) on a grand piano (also possible on location (+ extra fee)) The lessons last 1 hour (recommended), also possibility up to 30 minutes. Open for beginners to advanced pianists, young and old :) I prefer classical music, for me this is the basis for playing the piano. A native of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Olivé began his piano studies under the guidance of Professor Marcilda Clis. Upon entering UNIRIO, he started taking lessons with the pianist and composer Claudio Dauelsberg. He holds a degree in piano from the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe in Germany, where he was a student of Professor Kaya Han. He spent 2 years in Portugal, where he taught at the Academia de Música de Almada. He also received guidance from Professor and pianist Manuel Araújo of the Academia Internacional de Música Aquilles Delle Vigne in Coimbra. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Piano Performance at LUCA School of Arts in Belgium, with the renowned pianist Sylvia Thereza as his teacher. He has been awarded in national and international competitions, such as the VII Sardoal Young Talent Award (2nd Prize - ex-aequo in the Piano Solo category; 2nd Prize and Best Portuguese Duo in the Piano Duo category), the Prof. Dichler-Competition 2022 in Vienna (2nd Prize - ex aequo in the Piano Duo category), the I National Piano Competition of the Villa-Lobos Music School (Honorable Mention) in Rio de Janeiro, and the XXVI Souza Lima Piano Competition (Honorable Mention) in São Paulo. His classes are intended for anyone who wants to start learning music theory and piano or those who already have basic or advanced knowledge. From Classical to Popular music, his teaching method adapts to the goals and individual desires of the student. During the classes, music theory is taught either concurrently or separately from practice, and the repertoire to be played is chosen collaboratively with the student. Then you've come to the right place! About myself: I have been playing both guitar and bass guitar for 8 years. I also have a solid foundation in music theory. I took lessons with Kristof Neyens (rock school leuven) for several years, and now I would like to share my experience. Classes: Depending on your preference, we can draw up a lesson plan together with individual assignments. I also try to work as much as possible with the genres that you like to listen to yourself, this is of course more motivating (after all, you don't want to try to teach Mozart to a Metal fan ;)) My approach is certainly not like that of the 'music theory' at the academy. From your first lesson you will immediately start playing songs. I only use music theory if it is really necessary or if you would like to delve into it. Practical: I follow distance education so I can actually go at any time of the week, online lessons are also a possibility.
