The flute it’s a quite complex instrument, where the challenge is to find the balance between all the parameter, such as posture(in order to learn how to play fast passage), lips and everything concerning breathing technique(in order to get the best clear and powerful sound). My name is Davy, I am 34 years old and have had the guitar in my fingers for 25 years. I graduated from the Music Academy Tongeren for both classical and electric guitar. In addition, I attended 2 years of Conservatory Jazz at LUCA School of Arts Campus Lemmens Institute. I started teaching in various situations since I was 16, both group lessons and individual lessons on instrument and music theory. Sharing my knowledge with others has always been a great passion. That is why I now offer private lessons tailored to my needs where I live in Leuven. This for both acoustic, classical and electric guitar in a range of styles. What you can expect is not a fixed course that we go over from A to Z, but a course that we build ourselves, as it were, focused on your musical taste, knowledge and goal on your instrument. I am a master's student at the Brussels Royal Conservatory. A native of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Olivé began his piano studies under the guidance of Professor Marcilda Clis. Upon entering UNIRIO, he started taking lessons with the pianist and composer Claudio Dauelsberg. He holds a degree in piano from the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe in Germany, where he was a student of Professor Kaya Han. He spent 2 years in Portugal, where he taught at the Academia de Música de Almada. He also received guidance from Professor and pianist Manuel Araújo of the Academia Internacional de Música Aquilles Delle Vigne in Coimbra. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Piano Performance at LUCA School of Arts in Belgium, with the renowned pianist Sylvia Thereza as his teacher. He has been awarded in national and international competitions, such as the VII Sardoal Young Talent Award (2nd Prize - ex-aequo in the Piano Solo category; 2nd Prize and Best Portuguese Duo in the Piano Duo category), the Prof. Dichler-Competition 2022 in Vienna (2nd Prize - ex aequo in the Piano Duo category), the I National Piano Competition of the Villa-Lobos Music School (Honorable Mention) in Rio de Janeiro, and the XXVI Souza Lima Piano Competition (Honorable Mention) in São Paulo. His classes are intended for anyone who wants to start learning music theory and piano or those who already have basic or advanced knowledge. From Classical to Popular music, his teaching method adapts to the goals and individual desires of the student. During the classes, music theory is taught either concurrently or separately from practice, and the repertoire to be played is chosen collaboratively with the student. Felipe has years of experience as a concert pianist and teacher in academies and music schools. He seeks the most suitable approach for each student, respecting their learning pace, helping overcome difficulties, and exploring their strengths, always encouraging progress.
