About Me

An innovative concept, a clearly defined educational framework

Our establishment aims to be resolutely accessible to all and is not limited to teaching a single artistic field. Thus, students can take advantage of the different synergies and bridges built between the different disciplines. We help students meet, play and create together. With us they go further, they realize their projects and their dreams.

The setting and the atmosphere are particularly favorable to the pleasure of learning and developing one's creativity, in the full expression of one's own personality. However, our establishment offers students and their parents the guarantee of quality education, in a rigorous ethics, closest to the needs and motivation of each and every learner.

The teachers, for their part, fully adhere to the concept and philosophy of the school. They have a vocation and are passionate creatives, their natural desire to innovate is combined with strong teaching skills. Their great experience, respect, listening and constant attention, allow them to constantly watch the progress of their students. A flawless personal ethics makes them actors and not followers!

We also attach great importance to the quality of life of our employees. At our establishment, the management of the school is largely participative, taking advantage of a "horizontal" operating system, without a director. This operating principle, associated with other innovative operating methods, makes it possible to remunerate the teachers beyond what they could hope for in a traditional structure.

Professional teachers with HEMU / ECAL / CERULEUM / ETC. (depending on the area taught). All are actors on the local and Swiss cultural scene.

Experience / Qualifications

The teachers are all benefiting from several years of experience already. They pass on with passion and stick to the philosophy of our school, which is to accompany students beyond a simple music or visual art lesson.

Program Developing your voice, your ear, controlling your breath, improving your posture and gaining self-confidence: singing is certainly one of the most complete musical fields. By singing, the artist opens completely, he strips himself of all artifice and shares with his public an intimate moment, in the greatest honesty. Objectives and skills The singing lessons allow to develop the voice pose, the development of the artistic personality, the vocal technique and the development of the voice through various styles. Learn to master the head voice, chest voice and mixed voice as well as the various types of voice: belting, saturated voice, falsetto, ... in order to be comfortable in the different styles. The body plays a central role in the singing technique. Thus, bodily and sensory work in space and, for some, the development of bodily presence on stage, are themes addressed during the lessons. We will also work on the ear, the accuracy and the improvement of the rhythm, as well as improvisation and song creation for advanced students who want it. With Apolline, music theory is integrated into the instrument lesson, sparingly and in a manner consistent with the subject studied by the child. Thus, theory sticks to practice and becomes digestible and interesting. Learning music with Apolline How to leave the usually rigid framework of the first years of musical learning that is found in most schools in Switzerland? Based in Lausanne, Apolline has a different philosophy. Rather than offering children and adolescents to learn in individual lessons, lessons in small groups - from 2 to 3 students, depending on the instrument - are highlighted. Working in a group offers many advantages to beginners or inexperienced students. Apolline offers her students the possibility of joining a group workshop, in addition to the basic instrument course, so that they can play with other musicians of their age. Accompanied by a teacher, they will learn to play in groups, through covers or their own compositions.
Program To acquire the tools necessary for drawing according to model, the teacher will teach you techniques which allow above all to exercise your gaze. He offers you a path adapted to your objectives and accompanies you in your stylistic quest by transmitting strategies offering you the possibility of finding a way of drawing that suits you. Objectives and skills At the end of this course, you will have developed technical skills (construction of space, structure of the human anatomy, distribution of shadows and lights, dynamics of the body in movement) and identified the challenges of this approach. The practice of observational drawing will also lead you to a better understanding of your perceptual intelligence. Finally, it will invite you to make use of faculties that are usually not very mobilized, thus thinning the link between body and mind. This course is aimed at both novices and beginners. You can bring your equipment, but will also find what you need on site. The price includes a package for the engagement of the models.
Program First of all, the discovery of the instrument and its multiple possibilities of sound and musical expression, through the repertoire and improvisation. Next comes the development of the pupil's musicality and the acquisition of the instrumental bases, which will, in a later phase, be deepened to finally develop the pupil's autonomy and personality. Objectives and skills Adaptation of the body to the instrument - development of a natural position on the piano Coordination of gestures, position and independence of the hands. Listening development - learning to listen to your own play and that of others Development of the sense of rhythm - simple rhythm on a pulsation at the beginning, towards a refinement of precision Phrase and musical breathing Play in public Musical expression, improvisation Sight reading (music theory) Regarding this last point, it is important to specify that with Apolline, music theory is integrated into the instrument lesson, sparingly and in a manner consistent with the subject studied by the child. Clément
Drums/Percussion/Solfège/Improvisation and Jazz Harmony lessons
Hello, My name is Clément, I am a professional musician and drum and percussion teacher. I am a graduate of the Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin in Strasbourg and holder of the State Diploma, I am currently continuing my journey at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne in Master Performer Composer Jazz. During my career, I had the opportunity to play in several contexts (solo, chamber music band, orchestra) and to be able to immerse myself in different musical aesthetics. (classical, jazz, current, world) This taste for diversity, which is part of my personality, is partly what I want to pass on to my students. Another important axis in my eyes in learning an artistic practice is based on the concept of creation, which allows the development of the imagination. For the drums, in line with your wishes and the objectives that we will have put in place, we can explore the different styles. (rock, funk, jazz, latin, metal..) For example, here are some concepts that we will work on: - coordination and independence - develop their musicality and groove - technique and sound - rhythm and reading on score We can also approach classical percussions (keyboards, skins...) and world percussions (Brazilian, Cuban and African). We will of course work on the technique specific to each instrument, some notions of musical theory necessary for a good practice, the whole aiming at musicality and expression. Another challenge is to acquire autonomy and regularity in the practice of the instrument outside of class. I also offer music theory and theory lessons, as well as improvisation and jazz harmony lessons open to all instruments. The courses I offer are aimed at both children and adults. For more information, do not hesitate to contact me, I will be happy to answer you. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you and introduce you to this beautiful universe so that you can have fun while progressing.

Eva
Japanese Taiko Drumming (Online and Real Life Lessons)
Taiko Drumming is both a traditional instrument and an innovative medium for making contemporary music. I am Eva, a professional Taiko Drummer, and I have playing the Taiko drums for 30 years. Lessons will be taught online on weekdays and on-site in central Tokyo on weekends, in groups. Private lessons can be arranged upon request. Here is my profile: Born in Tokyo, Japan, Eva was raised by a family of scholars and artists with mixed German and Japanese heritage. From a young age, she learned how to play piano after her father introduced her to classical music, while she simultaneously learned Taiko after her mother introduced her to the Japanese arts. After graduating from the International School of the Sacred Heart in Tokyo, Japan, she attended Cornell University in New York, USA, where she earned a B.A. in Philosophy. While attending Cornell, she joined the Cornell University Percussion Ensemble. The following year, she co-founded the Taiko drumming student organization called Cornell Taiko (YAMATAI) and she was the lead drummer and Musical Director. After graduating from Cornell at the young age of 22, she returned to Japan and started performing professionally. She started her solo career a year later. Eva is also trained in Japanese folk dance (with a focus on male styles) and has a passion for street dance and locking. She joined an Awa dance team affiliated with the prestigious Koenji Awa Dance Association and made her way to become one of the top female dancers in Japan. Today, she brings Japanese taiko drumming and song to a brand new context of pop music and also performs with many distinguished artists, musicians, dancers, and Taiko drummers across multiple genres. Eva does not only perform using taiko, she also uses a number of other instruments that have a distinct flavor of the Japanese environment including Koto (Japanese Harp), Voice, and Piano. Eva also works in the field of education and teaches taiko drumming workshops to both children and adults and is also involved in humanitarian efforts such as raising awareness for the disabled. Her music, dynamic performances, and selfless spirit continue to inspire not only her many fans but all who witness her performances all over the world. In 2023, her original music was published by Harper Collins Publisher and she was also the cover image of their music textbook. In 2024, her original music was utilized by Cambridge International Curriculum, used in over 160 countries and 10,000 schools, which sets a global standard for education, and is recognized by universities and employers worldwide.

Battery all levels / all styles by a student of HEMU
"Without music, life would be a mistake" - Nietzsche If even the philosophers think it is that the music indeed has a universal power which can touch any human being on this earth ... There is something for everyone, for all ages ... there is everywhere! Music is what makes me live and passionate more than anything in the world, that's why I like to listen, play and also teach. The courses that I propose are adapted according to the desires of the student, the music must be a moment of pleasure and sharing. Whether you are beginner or advanced, we will find a formula that will suit you by combining technical, coordination and sound of the instrument. The ultimate goal is to have fun on the drums while being attentive to the evolution of a piece and the communication with the musicians who will accompany you. Styles: rock, pop, funk, groove, afro-cuban, reggae, blues, jazz ... So, if you think you are driven by the crazy desire to discover (or re-discover with me) this beautiful instrument, meet us! ** I teach in my local (equipped with 2 batteries) in Lausanne at FLON ** IN THE PROGRAM : - Technical - Coordination (hands / feet) - Sound development, typing on the instrument - Play on music - rhythmic reading - Improvisation solo and in a piece GENRES: - Electric - Folk - Rock - Jazz - Blues - Funk - Pop
