About Me

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
I discovered drums at the age of five in Geneva, at the Drums & Percussion Center school, where I quickly developed a real passion for this instrument and for music in general. My first musical influences were oriented towards rock and funk, genres that captivated me from the beginning.

Over the years, I have multiplied musical experiences, which allowed me to meet friends with whom I founded the Gewurzt project, a training inspired by folk music and improvisation. This period marked the beginning of my career as a musician and also opened the doors to teaching: I thus began to give drum lessons, both in associative schools and through private lessons.

In 2021, I had the chance to join the pop and jazz scenes in Lausanne, where many collaborations have emerged. Among them, projects with Angelo Powers, Pilar Vega, Vee Mukarati & the Horn of Hope, and Azure have allowed me to diversify my style and enrich my skills as a musician. Since 2015, I have been composing and producing music, and I also started mixing in 2023. My most recent production project is Angelo Powers' album "Can We Press Rewind?", a project for which I produced and mixed the majority of the tracks.

Today, I focus on developing my solo project Ace Ross, an instrumental exploration influenced by contemporary jazz and modernity. This project brings together talents such as Arthur Donnot on saxophone, Natan Niddam on keyboards, and Yann Maenner on bass. In parallel, I continue to teach drums and computer-assisted music, while expanding my artistic network to explore new collaborations.

With these experiences and my involvement in various projects, I remain passionate about exploring new sounds and sharing my passion through teaching and the stage.

Education

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
At the age of sixteen, I decided to devote myself fully to music by joining the Gabriel Fauré high school in Annecy in the TMD (Techniques of Music and Dance) course, while at the same time joining the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional d'Annecy. It was there that I met friends with whom we later founded the Gewurzt project, mixing folk and improvised music.

After obtaining my baccalaureate in 2019, I continued two years of preparatory class at the Annecy Conservatory to deepen my musical learning, with a growing interest in jazz. In 2021, I joined the Bachelor Jazz at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU), where many artistic collaborations have developed.

Currently, I am pursuing a Master Music Performer at HEMU, with the ambition of continuing to improve my teaching skills afterwards.

Guitar workshops: personalized lessons / private training
Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...). For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...). Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points: -Study of various playing techniques, chords, harmony, music of your choice, rhythm, with reading of tablature, teaching structured around the repertoire you like, technique of developing the musical ear - Discovery of the neck, notes and basic positions of open chords - Left / right hand coordination and rhythm exercises for the right hand - Learning of different pieces of your choice - Left hand control exercises, speed and precision - Learning arpeggios - Work around muscle memory - Learning improvisation, musical play with others - Ear training: use your ears to find chords, melodies, sounds and techniques used -Spend a pleasant moment of exchange, without unnecessary institutional pressure, while obtaining concrete results -Understand and discover the many facets of an exciting and user-friendly instrument - Benefit from personalized advice on your posture and certain pitfalls to avoid when starting alone -Adjust and clarify your self-taught knowledge - Learn tablatures / tabs & in English. Note : - Possibility to use the guitar available on site, during the test phase. - As our teacher is also a singing teacher, it is possible to combine the two disciplines: guitar + vocal instrument, and to work on synchronization, style and accuracy. - Possibility of offering this course (birthday, party, Christmas, event ...) to the person of your choice. THE TEACHER : Trained in Grande Ecole post-preparatory classes & Ivy League university in the United States, our teacher has specialized and has worked for more than 15 years, in Europe and North America, in the field, in renowned international public and private establishments, with careful pedagogy and methodology as the watchwords. PLACES : - Locations: Geneva-Lausanne-Friborg-Neuchâtel-Montreux-Bâle-Sion-Sierre-Morges-Bienne. But currently, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they have the advantages of direct (example: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (ex: loss of travel time), with additional advantages (ex: of notes on the chat, which can be reread afterwards). In this context, these videoconference sessions for which you have requested me, seem to arouse a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). At your request, I therefore continue to offer them.

Violin lessons for students from 7 - 25. Fall in love with classical music :)
I teach young students how to play and perfect playing Violin. depending on students level of playing, I teach and help them to have better understanding of music. My main goal is to make them fall in love with music and especially with violin. I teach classical music, therefore it is important to also know some basic facts about the pieces and composers that will come along on this amazing journey. I will help students to gain better understanding on how to practice and i will try my best to help them in any way they struggle with Violin. I understand how extremely difficult it is to be able to play Violin and especially perfect it and thats why it is very important to help students with their technique and sound.

Özgün
Saxophone lessons for all levels! (Online or at your place)
With beginner saxophone students, we will first work on proper instrument holding and posture. Then, before blowing into the saxophone, we will practice long-tone exercises using the mouthpiece. Once comfortable with these fundamentals, we will start producing sound from the instrument and learning the notes. We will focus on long-tone exercises to develop control and consistency. We gradually start incorporating short exercises or simple melodies as the student progresses. Learning and progressing on an instrument mostly depends on the student's dedication and practice habits. If you love music and commit time to it, you can reach a good level in a short period!

The goal of the course is simply to enjoy singing and speaking on stage with playful exercises. The course is aimed at people who have never sung before to more experienced people. Open to children (from 7 years old), teenagers and adults. The course content is divided into three main parts: The musical and vocal exploration (ear development, singing in harmony, vocal improvisation), the movement (rhythm games, body expression, mimes, improvisation, notions of space scenic) and the interpretation of songs (study of text and sub-text of a song, exploration of emotions with voice, gestures, piano, spoken texts, etc.). The program is obviously adapted to the individual needs of each student, and if the student wishes, we can also prepare songs for a specific performance. Private lessons at the student's home (or group course on request), Lausanne and surroundings.

Lukas
Music Production, Audio Engineering and Songwriting Classes
I studied music production at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) under the mentorship of King James Britt, and at Abbey Road in London. I am well versed in most audio software (Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro X), using all of these in a professional setting for over 5 years. Currently, I work as an audio engineer, mixing and mastering songs for clients as well as recording in major studios across the city, as well as working remotely for the studio that I started in Oxford (Lenka's Studios). I would love to help you reach your specific goals in Audio production and pass on my knowledge. Students can bring their works in Progress for feedback and to be worked on, or they can ask in advance to learn more about a specific area of audio production (For example, recording techniques for drums or piano, mixing techniques for live recordings or for electronic music). I have many years of experience in writing songs electronically, and for live instruments, for artists in the UK and the USA. If you want to learn more about songwriting, this is another area I would be happy to help with.
