Master's student and holder of a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Drums from HEMU Lausanne, I give drum lessons at home and/or in my own premises, for all levels. The lessons are above all based on the requests and expectations of the student, according to his level and age. They generally include: - Work on position, gestures and breathing - Basic work - Rhythmic and / or melodic and harmonic music theory - Lots of music listening including Rock, Funk, Soul and Jazz - Work on the metronome I can work on a method or with my own lesson sheets. Having taught music theory to children's classes in a conservatory, I have a lot of experience in teaching for beginners or adolescents. The goal of my lessons is above all to discover, learn or advance, without stress or fuss!

Whether you are an adult or younger, did you know that with the proper methods, follow-up and advice, you can reach in 2 years the equivalent of what is achieved in 10 years in music school? The passion and pleasure of playing will quickly make you forget the minimum 1h30 of daily practice necessary for this beautiful and pleasant feat. This is the challenge I set myself by offering you these courses. Practicing classical guitar for 27 years, graduated from the National Conservatory of Limoges, I teach guitar (beginner to advanced levels). My method is distinguished by a perfect combination of high standards and attention paid to the pleasure of playing. Passionate about music theory (rhythms, musical notations and other aspects that seem tedious to many), I know how to transmit this taste for musical technique. The pleasure of play develops when you feel your progress, and these come with regular work. I therefore ask for attendance and regularity of at least 1 hour of practice per day. Depending on the students, the frequency of lessons can be bi-weekly or bi-monthly, and will be defined together, while remaining flexible. I can also advise you on the purchase of a classical guitar. Note: the practice of the classical guitar requires short nails on the left hand, and nails overflowing just beyond the tip of the finger, on the right hand, at all times. TRANSVERSE FLUTE: My lessons cover several aspects necessary for good playing of the transverse flute and free musical expression: healthy body posture, stable technique, attentive listening, musicality, personal development. It is from these notions that the quality of sound, digital and respiratory technique, intonation, expression, and many others arise. I also give importance to well-being, self-confidence, or other abilities that the student would like to acquire. SOLFÈGE: My courses cover several aspects necessary for the successful learning of music theory: strategies for recognizing intervals, chords and rhythms and their executions, singing, musical indications, exercises, attentive listening, musicality. These aspects are essential to instrumental practice, because they first allow you to correctly read a score, then analyze and interpret it.

The 5 string banjo is an amazing instrument. It's driving trademark sound and it's African roots has contributed to many music traditions, including Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz and world music. In my class you'll first learn the basics, how to hold and pick and read tablatures. We'll then go through how to play a tune, accompany other instruments and finally, improvise. During the year I'll teach you basic music theory like rhythm, harmony and a bit of ear training to help you develop your understanding and relationship to the instrument. We'll mainly play Bluegrass Scruggs style at first, then we'll dive into melodic style and sigle string, that will all be useful for playing other kinds of music, like Irish music, Pop, Jazz or Blues. Hello, I am Clément, a passionate musician and current student at EPFL. My musical journey began at the age of 5. For nearly 15 years, I trained at the Avignon Conservatory, working alongside several orchestras and performing numerous solo performances across France. I also hold a degree in musical studies. I have currently trained more than 10 trumpet students. My goal is to help you build a solid foundation so that you can fully enjoy music. I am open to all styles of music. I adjust my teaching approach with each student to promote their learning. The trumpet is a demanding instrument but it also offers an escape and an incredible joy which is (in all objectivity ;) ) comparable with any other instrument. Depending on your needs, an introduction to music theory can be added to the course. Whether you are a novice or already have some basics, this trumpet course is open to all levels.
